I see where Amazon and other companies are offering pre-order copies, but that means they aren't getting them til the 16th and you have to pay to have it shipped.

From looking at Best Buys website I can pre-order but pick up from store on the 16th!~

Any comments???

I am taking my daughter to South Lake Tahoe in January for a week.

We are planning to do the following:

Snowboard lessons x 2 days

Dog Sledding

Snowmobile

Sleigh Ride

Shopping

And what ever else we find that looks fun.

Being from Texas, we have never been in real winter weather before and I want to make sure we are reasonably prepared.

I'm at least sure we will need some type of winterboot but not sure we need a snowboot?

There seems to be a layering order that goes on but I'm not sure how many sets of layers we need?

I just for grins started putting things in a cart online and it ran up to $1k really quickly....while I don't mind the expense we have wanted to go for years, I would appreciate some direction in getting what we really need.

We will be flying into Reno and renting an SUV, but on their website they don't allow chains or provide them....nor would I have ANY idea as to how to put them on.

Any suggestions and advice is GREATLY appreciated!~
