  • Is their a studio version of Ain't That a Shame by Cheap Trick?

In my early days, it was either some good stuff that made it sound crystal clear... or I'm not "trippin" and there REALLY was an album version of this song. it seems to me I've heard it on the radio without all the Budakon background... anybody?

  • Please help translating a phrase from English into Latin?

The phrase will actually be part of a vocal melody in a song, so if a word for word translation doesn't work, I'd go with a more poetic alternative.

The phrase is: "My friends have let me down and one has betrayed me"

Please, I'm begging you, NO website translations, I need an authentic translation from a legitimate linguist.

    Thanks very much!

  • Do I qualify for stimulus package if I'm self employed & have no tax liability on line 57?

I'm self employed, married with two kids. Because of "standard deductions" and qualifying for earned income credit as well as "additional child tax credit" (not the standard child tax credit) - my tax liability on lines 52 & 57 are set at zero... I'm certainly over $3,000 but also fall under "low income wage earner" via self employed income.

IRS's site says "Families with children under 17 generally will qualify for an additional payment. Some people with no tax liability also will qualify. This includes Social Security and Railroad Retirement beneficiaries, recipients of certain veterans’ payments, low-income workers with earned income and/or benefits of at least $3,000 and individuals who have combined income of at least $3,000 from any combination of these sources."

I get the feeling this thing dependent on a definition of "low income workers with earned income"

well anyway - bottom line, does a Self Employed worker with no tax liability that got the EIC qualify for the stimulus?

  • Helping musican friend get booked at Colleges & Universities, is there a standard contact at all institutions?

I'm somewhat experienced in booking rock bands at clubs & festivals, but I have a friend that does electronica music performances - kinda on the experimental side. He seems to think his stuff would go over well on college campuses - I think he may be right...

but this is new territory for me! Also been a loooong time since I've been in college. Is there a person or department that is pretty much standard across the board for contacting at colleges and/or universities? A Dean of Entertainment (lol) or maybe a Events co-ordinator etc? While we're at it - a master list of places that book music for the students would be awaesome. Thanks!

  • NASA says the documents are missing...?

700 boxes that held all the documents about the landing on the moon have been missing since last year. All of them. Now did we really land on the moon or NASA is now making up this excuse because it was a lie to begin with?

  • What other chemical evaporates as quicky as isopropyl or rubbing alchohol?

In the 1980s Radio Shack distributed a record cleaning protectant that they no longer make. When sprayed on the surface of the vinyl, the fluid QUICKLY evaporates right before your eyes. However, although no ingredients are listed the label says "non flammable and non toxic" and has a kind of "plastic" smell that seems to have a residue feeling on the hands after use - so that rules out Isopropyl Alcohol - but what other clear liquid dissolves or evaporates on contact?

  • What happens if I am held in contempt of court for not abiding by visitation order?

My ex-wife and I live on opposite ends of the country. Sending the kids is expensive. When she doesnt pay her full child support the expense is impossible. She is now taking me to court for enforcement of visitation order which has a contemp of court attached to it. What are the possibilities that the judge will hand down? The court gave her 3 visitations for the year. 2 of the visits are to be shared cost 50/50, one visit is my full responsibility. She only asks once a year for the ticket thats my responsibility and never for the ticket that we share the cost on. She does not pay her child support and changes her job when the child support services find her.

Please no answers that I can not withold visitation for lack of child support, I know this. My question is what will happen to me if I am held in contempt of court?

  • Need help understanding what this British expression means...?

I posted this same question in music, but unfortunately it seems nobody remembers the band Spooky Tooth. They had a song called "The Hoofer" on their album titled the Mirror... the lyrics had an odd expression that went "At no time will my feet leave my ankles".

Since they are a British band, I assumed this odd saying also derives from British Culture... what the heck does it mean!?

  • Obscure rock band of the 70s called Spooky Tooth sang: "at no time will my feet leave my ankles", huh?

On the song "hoofer" from their album called The Mirror, Spooky Tooth sang a line that appears to be an expression.... that I've never heard before. Perhaps it's a British motto... What does it mean to say "At no time will my feet leave my ankles"
