i was wondering since jewels have different water requirements than the mbunas could they be mix with american cichlids say, a jack dempsey, firemouths

So i have some river rocks that look like these

And i was wondering how do i clean them off so that i could add them to my 20g......Can i use bleach???

it comes with tank, stand, lights (no blubs because he never used them) wet/dry and 30 gallon sump, bio balls, and rio 2100 pump

i have been thinking of buying a tank at petsmart its 150 gallons but i've been wondering how would you clean it what would be the best thing to do? Would i need a undergravel filter?what do i need any ideas?

i have two lil firemouths, i give them pellets,flakes earthworms well one earth worms...but most of the time i dont see them eat?

everybody who views this tell me why you like that cichlid?is rare?different?smart?etc?do you suggest having that in my tank?

my favorite cichlid is maybe the firemouth because of its fighting style.

my little cousin took of the readyings of my fish tank and i think he threw it away how can i check what the temperature is

well i found my brother 20 gallon tank down stairs and it does not have a hood or a light so is it required to have a hood can i just get some plastic foil and cover the top

I have two firemouth babies,they are probably like 1-1.5 inches.i do notice one them is a little bit bigger than the other maybe by half an inch.an one keeps picking on the other i m not sure if they are playing or if hes killing them.there babies after all so i dont think they know what violence is?

i have a 60 g tank down stairs in my livingroom and it appears as though it maybe leaking.i think its coming from one of the corners or the bottom.Its not a bad leak.its more like little drops.In that tank i Have 2 Oscars(maybe 5-6 in),1 Jack Dempsey(3-5 In),1 Pleco(7-9) And 1 Pacus.My 55 g is Upstairs in my room that tank is fine.In that tank i have 1 Oscar,1 Jack Dempsey,2 little Plecos.Anyway What should I do I really Dont have Money To Spend.

I have this crazy idea that one day,not to far from now,i might want to add my cichlids in a pond, You know just incase they get to bigg for my fish tank.or maybe just make a pond for koi fish.Does anyone know how to build one or have any information where i can find someone who does. or a website that helps you out.

i clean my fish tank and my filter(forgot what it is), I installed it back to my tank and turned it on,i saw little bubbles flying everywhere around the tank. well maybe not everywhere but little bubbles are coming out of my filter.Is that Normal?Will it harm My Fish?

Has anyone ever had any experiance with a cichlid breeding outside of its family not being the same i mean.For example i once heard someone bred a Convict A texas Cichlid,Is that Possible or was he making this up.??

i was thinking instead of deciding on what type of substrate,wheter gravel or sand,i was thinking about put a little bit of both.Any advice on wheter its a good idea or not.Also if how would you recommend cleaning the substrate?

i bought those bulbs at walmart because i wanted something different in my 55 gallon tank i have two plecos,1 jack dempsey,and an oscar.....i was hoping if anyone can tell me if that will affect my fish...??????..i saw that it wanted to float so i buried it in the gravel was that a good move or not???????HELLLPPPPPP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i was wondering what if i caught a bass or a catfish,even a bluegill all less then 4 inches...do you think i can put them in my tank with some cichlids(oscars,,jack dempeseys,texas) tank is 60 gallon and my fish are all small.....but will they get some kind of sickness from a fish from the lake. let me know please..i apreciate it...
