I want to put together a textbook, but have no real design skills or experience. I don't have a lot of time to invest in learning a design program. I'd like to find one that is fairly easy to learn as I go and will look good. I should mention that images are not a big concern; it will be mainly text with maybe a few images. One of the things I've always wondered: So many people get "tribal" tattoos, yet when I say, "Cool. What tribe?" they look at me like I'm being a wise guy. Why are so many people apparently content to get some lines on their body as if they belong to some imagined tribe? Does it speak to some kind if deep alienation we feel from post-modern society, an expression of our desire to live in some purer, more innocent state, whether real or imagined? Is it just fashion without regard for any actual meaning? Or something else?

Dick Cheney is criticizing President Obama for taking too long to weigh the situation in Afghanistan. Would this be the same Dick Cheney who once shot his own friend in the face because he couldn't wait 2 seconds to determine whether or not he was a quail?

Do you think, as I do, that DIck CHeney wouldn't recognize a responsible decision-making process if it walked up and shot him in the face with a 12-guage, or do you think the old fella has a point somewhere?

Hi. I'm taking my wife and 3 kids to Orlando Disney this winter, and I'm wondering if you get better deals online for theme park tickets than you get by just buying them there in person. Any suggestions on good deals are welcome. How do online prices compare with prices at the gate? We also want to do Sea World, some water parks, Magic Kingdom, etc. Thanks for any advice!
