It's been over a decade since our divorce was finalized. We have two amazing kids, and that's all I can really say about our marriage. She's been remarried since 2009, and they even have a child together. You think that would have been enough to fixate her efforts elsewhere. Well, nope she lives in a place now where drama is her only entertainment. Plus, my ex-MIL is looney tunes.

Well, last year, my son moved in with me after a huge court battle. Listen young newlyweds. Go spend 4 hours in a family court, and I'm pretty sure the countries divorce rate would drop out of pure fear. :)

So, this event made her realize that she should be even more bitter, because the kids are consciously choosing to leave now.

In June, the kids, my girlfriend, and her son went to the Disney World on our first vacation together. I proposed and so you'd think why would my ex care? It's been a decade now. Nope, now she's constantly making comments and is upset I've built my own small business, have my son, happily engaged, and moving far ahead of what she could possibly conceive. Even years ago she was so grossly overpaid for child support she bought a house with the money before the Attorney General caught the mistakes.

What if anything could possibly just get an ex to let it go!? I mean we have had judges, mediators, and attorneys make it clear to her that the courts and my life is not hers to control. It's just insane to me she has a need to care so much!

My son is an amazing 13 1/2 yo high functioning autistic child. He and his younger sister currently spend the school year with his mom, and summers, weekends and holidays with me. He's made it clear he wants to live with me, and I tried numerous times before filing to talk to his mom about avoiding a court battle he shouldn't have to be in the middle of. But, in January I had no choice but to file the custody motion to resolve before this upcoming school year.

We've had court ordered Mediation that was a waste, but we did won a motion for my son to speak to the judge where he's expressed his wishes to move here. Hes starting to feel worried it isn't happening because he has to go back to his mom in a week until we either come to a conclusion or the judge modifies custody in September. Gotta love the speed of courts. I just don't know what to say to him to ease his mind right now. My exes family is very overbearing, controlling, and has told him no way at the mention of wanting to live here.

For those of you who have gone through this what advice or words of wisdom do you have to give him ease of mind? I tell him I am not going anywhere no matter what happens. It's tough telling mom you want to live with dad, but she wont listen or care as she can't see past herself.

We don't typically handle staffing for temporary warehouse but client asked to alleviate their headache ... They claimed to pay $15/hour and said they'd give us a whopping $16.50 an hour to manage and cover taxes/cost for the crew. Crew all made over $600 in 3 weeks and knowing these issues we only offered $10/hour so we didn't completely lose our ***. So we made $6.50 this way as company before costs... Client thinks bc we aren't paying $15/hour we owe then concessions? Plus they have 4 other invoices and well the crew had 1/2 lazy workers as usual who we had to replace. Was a nightmare I had to constantly deal with daily too... Can they legally do anything bc we as a company made our business decision to pay less?

Any other tidbits too as this is the first concert she's attending. Is there pre show stuff to do in area?

My genius brother was laid off from his job in 2008, and collected unemployment and the extensions I guess. He accepted a job in his career, but it didn't last but 3 months. He must have known it was shady or maybe he just wanted the extra money... He didn't declare the wages on the forms he fills out so they found out, of course. They canceled his unemployment which caused him to have to move in with me, but after they received his appeal letter he started getting EDD checks during the appeal process. The first appeal where he went in front of a Judge came back with a negative decision, but I guess there is a State Board and Superior Court appeal left. So, is that right that he gets EDD benefits until the final appeals are heard?

Either he wins the 2nd appeal and the issue is somehow wiped out. I am more curious to figure out what he is going to do long-term as I am worried about him. It's like 9000 in overpayment charges. I can't throw him out as he is my brother, but I'm not going to pay his way either. The job market is terrible so how is everyone surviving these days?

Alright, this is more of a vent than anything and I usually just write something like this down in a journal and save, but I'm beyond annoyed. My ex-fiance and I ended things while living together early in October. I haven't spoken a word to her since the moment it happened. She loves playing this game where she thinks I will beg, plead, and grovel until she gets an apology on her terms. It was just a complete disaster living with her. She was obnoxious, obsessive, and unruly. She let her idiot 19 son and his pregnant girlfriends move in and take over the house. I have a home office and paid all the bills and could quickly see how bad things were going. So, I am not pining over her, or looking for a way to contact her. I can't talk to her with a level head anyway. She will constantly try to get me to engage her with stupid questions/comments all the time. One day it's I don't trust you because you had friends that are women from years past you talk too, and the next it's I love you even though you hate me. I haven't responded to any of this constant communication, but tonight I got a random question about some computer issue. I shook my head with disbelief that she thinks we are going to be friends or casual conversationalists after the way in which she's behaved for far too long and affected my life and most importantly that of my children. I gave up our home of 5 years to blend our family in May. So in 2 months she claimed she made her own decision she didn't want to marry me, but waited for 2 months to tell me on a random Thursday at 10pm when we were watching tv and getting ready fro bed. That's fine and I could deal with that in its own way, but once I left to get away before moving she writes idiotic texts about poor her and how she is hurting. I don't care one way or another, but I guess my problem is I am expecting a mature text one of these days about how her decisions were selfish, irrational, and wrong. Kinda selfish of me to expect that, or maybe it's wishful thinking. I should have made it clear when I moved out to never ever contact me. We were together for about 3 years total and I've never been so happy to get away from such insanity. Most importantly, I can see the smile and carefree attitude in myself and the kids back. Anyone gone through something similar?

I am so tired of relying on UI benefits. My kids and having to stress about whether something will cause a hiccup with my benefit check is overwhelming at times. Has anyone been having issues with there unemployment check coming on time? Usually it is sent out on Saturday and check sent on Wednesday or Thursday. Nothing is being referenced as sent out on the toll-free number. I despise this situation. Never been unemployed before, and the job market is not 6-1... where does that ridiculous stat come from? Try 100+ to 1 job these days.

Just curious if anyone has heard anything about a delay in benefits? The state is broke and has been borrowing the funds for over a year and a half now from what I understand. I would do about anything for a job to get back the life I worked over a decade to provide my family.

My first federal extension claim for my never ending unemployment claim was up on Feb. 28th. With all the contradicting information on the edd site I am not sure if I am able to get another round of unemployment benefits. I see it says "on or before" February 28th, but then it also says no new extensions are available.

As I try to figure out what the heck is going on and if I need to go stake out a corner for my families shopping cart does anyone understand how this works? Is this automatically filed on the date the first claim ends?

My ex-wife bought a clunker and the transmission went out on it yesterday. She lives about 250 miles away with my two kids and we, unfortunately, have to meet halfway for drop off. She wants to make it so that until she is able to pay off the car repairs I would drive there, get a hotel, and pay whatever other expenses incurred. I know I don't have the funds and seems insane that I don't get to temporarily delete my support obligations, but she can ask to stop our agreed divorce parenting plan.

Can she do this without my consent? She has family there that either let her borrow a car or help her rent one, but she has always been the type to find any reason to think I'll do 100% of the driving and incurred costs at her whim.

Now her defense. I was downsized in July and have struggled to pay support. I don't have the funds or a new car to make this journey. So the kids suffer. Plus the holidays are coming up and this year is suppose to be at my home.

I am in a pretty close game and trying to squeak out a victory here. The league is PPR and does give points for Kickoff and Punt Return points so that favors Washington. What's your thoughts?
