California Unemployment extension?
My first federal extension claim for my never ending unemployment claim was up on Feb. 28th. With all the contradicting information on the edd site I am not sure if I am able to get another round of unemployment benefits. I see it says "on or before" February 28th, but then it also says no new extensions are available.
As I try to figure out what the heck is going on and if I need to go stake out a corner for my families shopping cart does anyone understand how this works? Is this automatically filed on the date the first claim ends?
Very curious.
Thanks!

If your EIC ended before March 1, 2010. Don't give up hope. Unlike last fall where it was delayed for 7 weeks and 222,000 Americans was exhausted and unable to reapply. It shouldn't be the same this go around. Tomorrow congress is acting on a bill to fix the bill that retiring Republican Senator Jim Bunning of KY stopped. Your checks will stop as you should of seen by now if your story holds any truth. They will pass a bill to further the checks, but when they start again for you, there will be no back pay for weeks lost.
Republican Senator Jim Bunning of KY acted alone, it was not the Republican party. Good thing he is retiring, for he would not be re-elected after that stunt and especially after muttering the words "tough ****" when asked about what about all those families he would be hurting.
