I ordered some ufc workout systems with dvds and resistance bands from Hong Kong. I thought I was being smart buying wholesale and then I would sell the rest and mine would be free see that idea. Then the seller sent me an email and said basically btw if your order is seized by customs we only refund half of your money. WTF!!! Seized by customs! I guess that means these items are fakes. I thought maybe the stuff was made in Hong Kong and that's why it was cheaper. No where in the description page did it say these were not originals like a lot of things do when you buy from overseas. I emailed the seller back several times begging them NOT to send me the items. I even offered to let them keep some of my payment as a processing fee and keep their items just don't send them to me. My emails were ignored and the items are in shipment according to they're website now. I google you can get in a lot of trouble with counterfeit items at customs. I even tried to stop payment with my bank but couldn't. My next question is if the items do make it to me am I putting myself into even more unwanted risk if I send them back to try to get my money back? If the post office asks what's inside should I say most likely illegal dvds? What do I do please help!

I am self employed and barely make ends meet. I LOVE it though. However, I was thinking with Christmas coming up and stuff it would be nice to get a very part time job to gather up some more income. Something like 1 or two days a week. Anyone got any ideas on where to look for something like this? I think I have a shot at finding one with holiday temp hiring going on. It's getting old scouring the want ads reading all the details looking for something part time I'm looking to narrow down the search field a bit. Thanks!

Hi I live in Sacramento CA. I am hiring a babysitter to watch my 3 and almost 2 year old from my apartment. I have never hired a babysitter before it will be full time 8-10 hour days 2 or 3 days a week. I just wanna hear from the moms who hire babysitters in this area and the babysitters who work in this area how much to you pay/get paid. I just wanna get an idea of whats fair. I dont wanna over pay and obviously I wanna know if someone is offering to work for peanuts bc thats a red flag. Please help me out thanks.

I have an American Bulldog I jog with her and she uns along side my bike when im in my front yard but im scared to take her any further with me bc im not sure how far a dog like that could safely run. I heard that a dog will run themselves sick. Anyoen have any experience with this???

I had a Western Bluebird tap on the window by my computer repeatedly this morning then it moved to the kitchen window and tapped for a while then it went around to the side of the house and tapped on the glass door. Now I know it probably just saw its reflection or something but I couldnt help but thinkn of my grandmother when she was alive she would have told me it meant something. I was wondering if someone from her era (she was born around 1910) or who knows someone from her era would tell me what they think it means just for fun. Thanks!

Looking for some insight to help me decide which type of dog I should get. Basics = I have 2 children 2 yrs and 4 months old, 1/4 acre back yard with a 6ft fence, semi active live style (I live across the st from a walking park and within a mile from a bike trail that I do take advantage of everyday except mondays I work on mondays) so the dog would get at between 45 mins and three hours of excercise everyday coming along with me but of course there will be times during the day when I will have to ignore it to take care of the kids. Im looking for a dog that #1 will be good with my kids, and #2 I want a dog that can be a protector kind of too. See I used to have an American Pitbull Terrier I got when I was 16 after being mugged by a man while out on a walk I didnt train it to be mean at all he was quite sweet I just thought that weirdos might think twice when I was with him. I wont get another young pitbull though bc of numerous family member concerns (whether warranted or not I care about my family and dont want them to worry) and bc there are just too many indesriminant breeders in my area i cant risk it with my kids and I dont want to risk furthering any bad tendencys in the breed. Im not getting another puppy from the pound I've gotten 2 and they have both died within the 1st week of getting them even though I let the pound know what was going on. I talked to a vet on how to disenfect my home and have fostered two other puppies between then and they did not get sick so my home is fine. So now that you've read my book : ) here's the just of my question: German Shepherd, Lab, Golden Retriever, or boxer??? If you have owned any of these tell me what you think.
