I have a limited amount of data, so I try to keep it off when I'm not using it. Of course, this means that when a friend sends me a picture message, I won't get it until I turn on my data, sometimes weeks later. Is there some way to set up a notification saying that "hey, you have a message coming in. Turn on your data" or something to that effect? I feel bad when I just ignore my friends, but I don't have the data to waste. Thanks!

Say, for example, that you go to download a document from the internet, but rather than saving the file, you choose to open it. It'll then download the file, but rather than store it where you want, it will store it in (and correct me if I'm in the wrong folder): C:\Users\*Username*\AppData\Local\Temp

The purpose of the Temp folder (I'm assuming) is that it will only store the file temporarily, and thus should delete those files at some point.

So when are those files deleted?

So, a couple of months ago, I got a new wireless router at home. Ever since then, one of my computers has not been able to connect to the internet. It connected fine before, but it hasn't since, and my other computers are connecting fine (which is how I'm typing this). I have tried two different adapters, both of which are 802.11g, but neither has worked.

For the record, they are identifying the wireless signals; whenever I go to the Wireless Networks window, it lists several options. However, when I click connect, it will load for a bit and then not do anything. I have also tried plugging the adapters into different ports, re-installing their softwares, and resetting Winsock. "Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings" is checked, and it's set to automatically obtain the IP address and DNS server address. It's a desktop computer so it would be really difficult to lug everything to the router and connect it manually through an ethernet cord, but would that work if I did it? Preferably, do you have any other suggestions for things I can try to wirelessly connect to the internet?

I want to post a couple of animated gifs in my Twitter timeline, and it won't let me add them like I would a picture. They're on my computer, so I can't just paste a link to them. Also, I want to have them animated in the actual timeline. I've tried some sites (like TwitPic), but they just put a still image into the timeline and force you to follow a link to see the animation.

I used to do this with a site called gifff.io, however that seems to have been taken down. Does anyone know of some other way to do it? Thanks!

I asked this a few months ago, but Yahoo has since destroyed the old ways of returning to the good version of the site. For example, the http://f.answers.vip.bf1.yahoo.com/my-activity/qa site has been corrupted, and accessing Answers through Internet Explorer 6 (either through the actual browser or through an agent-switcher) doesn't work either. I've also tried using Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer (as well as their "Private Browsing" modes), and no luck there.

Basically, is there at least some way that I can access the old "My Q&A" page? I had it bookmarked, but the link no longer works. Yes, I know that the new layout has the "My Activities" page, but that's so over-cluttered with pointless memos like "You've answered a question!" (No duh!) and "[so-and-so] voted for your answer!" (Whoop-dee-doo; I care about that) that it's impossible to use for any legitimate purpose. All I truly want is a nice, organized place to find the questions that I've answered. Apparently, that's too much to ask of Yahoo. They seem to hate their users, and don't care about our opinions.

So anyone know of some other way that still works? A browser I haven't tried? A link? A plug-in? Thanks in advance.

First, I can see where Yahoo is coming at with the new design. They want to make it more like the rest of Yahoo; pointless, but fine, whatever. The thing that upsets me is that the layout and functionality has been redone, instead of just changing the design. The old Q&A page is gone for example, as are the statistics for your account. (I'm talking about more than just the new "My Activities" page, which is so over-cluttered with pointless memos like "You've answered a question!" (No, duh!) that's it's really cumbersome to use.

Anywho, does anyone know of a way to get the old format back? For the past few months, I've been using the Canadian page, but they've just changed that too. (Thanks, Yahoo). Any other ideas about how to switch it back? I've also tried switching between Firefox, Chrome, and even Internet Explorer, as well as the Private Browsing modes on each.

At the very least, is there some way for me to contact Yahoo about having the OPTION of using the old format? Thanks in advance.

In the credits of the show, they played the Pop Version of the song, which is sung by Britney Coleman and Carlos Valdes (not the one sung during the actual show). They say that the song is available on Bandcamp, but I can't find it anywhere (meaning I did a Google search and it didn't appear on the first page). It's also not on the official Starkid Bandcamp page.

So with the new Pottermore updates, they've added a completion bar at the bottom of each moment which catalogs not only collectables, but also interaction in each scene. So far, I've completed all of the released moments except for "Inside the Knight Bus", which is Book 3, Chapter 3, Moment 2. I'm at a complete loss as to how to complete it. So far, I've:

1. Listened to the guy snore

2. Unlocked the exclusive content via the hot water bottle

3. Read the newspaper article about Sirius Black

4. Knocked over the suitcase and the umbrella stand

5. Jiggled the little cup or pot or whatever the thing is beneath the back-right bed

6. Started the bus moving

7. Collected the three galleons

8. Collected the walking stick

It still says that I'm missing something. I've checked other sites, and I'm pretty sure that I've collected everything, so it's probably something that I've failed to interact with. Have any of you completed that moment and know what I need to do? Maybe something with the windows or bed? Please help. Thanks!

So, I missed the episode (it just aired a few weeks ago), but I figured I could just watch it on Hulu later. For whatever reason, Hulu says it only available through the "TV Provider" and won't let me watch it. (It was like this the day after it aired too.) It's also not on Syfy.com. I've been searching other websites, but no luck so far. Are there any other sites like Hulu out there where I can watch it for free, without downloading anything or completing any surveys or subscriptions (and obviously without getting any viruses)?

I don't want to go out of order in the season, so I'm holding off watching the other episodes until I see this one (the other ones are on Demand with my cable provider, but this one isn't). Please help! Thanks in advance.

I'd like a screen recorder that can record full screen or a window and can save in high quality without a lag or making the video choppy. It has to be free, and it can't leave a water mark. It would also be nice to have different save formats, although that's not a necessity. It also has to have features to control sound. Is there a program like this? I've tried Camstudio before but I've had problems with it. Thank you very much.

I was reading the script, and I was wondering who plays whom. I know that Darren Criss plays Harry Potter, Joey Richter plays Ron Weasley, that Meredith Stepien replaced Bonnie Gruesen as Hermione Granger, etc., but I wasn't sure about the new characters, such as Colin, McGonagall, Mad-Eye, and so on. Recently, my Windows 7 computer got a virus. I got it fixed, but now there are a couple of things out of wack. For example, when I put in a software disc, such as my Harry Potter video game, autoplay gives me options for removing pictures, but not the option to launch the Autorun like it did before. Any ideas how to change what the disc is recognized as? Thanks in advance.

Hi. I'm running Microsoft Word 2003. Recently, my computer picked up a virus, and when I got it back, Word has little L-shaped marks in the corners for some reason. It wasn't like this before. I have made sure that Text Boundaries are disabled and that the Asian Languages are removed (the only one in there is English), but it still won't go back to normal. I'd rather find a way without delving into the registry, but if I have to, please leave VERY specific instructions so I don't end up making things worse. This is driving me absolutely bonkers, so any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
