I recently purchased the above vehicle "as is". the trans indicator gauge needle is stuck all the way to the right. (P R N O/D D 2 1). I dismantled the area and found that the problem was a broken cable wire. I replaced the wire with another wire of the same diameter. ran it down to the steering column and to the clip as it previously was connected. i did this several times and every time i tested the needle when shifting into gear it did nothing. However if I put it all the way down to "1" and click it back to "P" it works. It just wont go from P-1. The strange thing is I checked on my '93 s10 p/u and the clip is located on the right of the steering column. on the blazer the clip is on the left. i tried to place it on the right but it makes the mechanism go backwards as if "1" was the park position. I thought maybe the cable wire i was using didn't slid through the access hole properly and read on a forum that someone used fishing line. also, once you run the cable through the dash to the steering column, is there anything that has to happen with the cable prior to attaching it to the clip?

Can anyone help with this problem? has anyone else tried fishing line? there are no diagrams on this and it is not located in my haynes book.

I'm a busy stay at home mom. My day involves my son, 2 dogs and his puppy, dog walking for a puppy across town, household chores, job hunting and work on my photography business.

My son is advanced in many things that sometimes I forget he is only 2. Money is extremely tight and I am having trouble finding free activities for him to do. I feel horrible bc sometimes I feel that I am just dragging him behind me instead of engaging him in activities.

He is social with adults and other children so I am not worried about that. And I do take him to the playgrounds, barn to run around and ride horses, and play with toys. We do not have tv or internet (other than on the phone) so its not that he is parked in front of it.

I just feel he gets bored. Any suggestions??? (And apologies for the book)

Ok, so I wrote in around the beginning of July wondering if my symptoms could be a sign of pregnancy. I took a test early to have peace of mind before the 4th of July weekend (but i was too sick to party anyways). The test was negative and told myself it must be the worst pms ever in my life and decided not to get my hopes up anymore until i see what happens with my period. I estimated my menstrual cycle to begin around the weekend of July 11th.

So here's the deal and where all my questions are coming from....

I started spotting on the 10th, yes almost nailed my cycle start date. And told my husband that we could try to conceive again this month, just keep trying. On the 11th and 12th there was nothing. Today, 13th, I spotted again. The spotting is noticed on toilet tissue and one or two drops in my underwear. Its not a lot just drops. The only time I spot, if i spot, is the last 1 or 2 days of my cycle.

Part of me wants to take another pregnancy test first thing tomorrow morning, but I don't want my hopes up again.

Any suggestions? Should I take a test? Does this spotting sound like something else?

My husband and I recently decided to try for a baby (in June). Anyways, I tried to follow the online ovulation calculator and had intercourse multiple times around the date. I Started my period on 6-14 and went from there. Last week on 6-30, 7-1, 7-2 & 7-3 I felt so nauseous, crampy, frequent urination, starving all the time and irritable. I took a First Response test the afternoon of the 2nd and it came up neg. I vomited late 7-3 and felt great until about 10am today. The earliest I could be at the time of the test would be 14 days, but there is a possibility of conceiving around the 29th. I am a smoker (I know I need to stop if Im trying, please do not comment) and I am a big pepsi drinker. Last week I could not smoke even a 1/4 of a cigarette and pepsi or anything other than water made me sick. (which is not normal for me even when I have the flu).

Any Ideas? Should I test again in the next couple days? (I should be getting my period this coming weekend.)

2005 toyota matrix roughly 45K miles. the check engine light came on last week and then went off after the gas cap was tightened again and a hose was flushed. there were mouse findings under the hood. (is there a way to keep them away from the car in a wooded area?) i need help. money is an issue and im not sure if the car is still under waranty. also when we pull onto the main road it it straight up a mountain on one side, could this be an issue? it may be going to the mechanics tomorrow. need help and advice.

I have pretty major teeth issues right now. I was working with a dentist for awhile to fix just minor cavities/etc so i could be fitted for braces. they filled a very small hole which with in a few weeks the filler came out and made the whole larger. I was so upset that i stopped going back to the dentist. its been at least 3 years now and my teeth are worse (I know go figure).

now i have more cavities and tooth decay. im wondering if anyone has gotten veneers. how much does it cost? and is it worth talking to a dentist about?

or would it be better just to try to fix the current problem teeth?

any serious advise would be great!

Through lots of research I believe I have an Eng. Pointer. I bought her as a pup 2 years ago as a beagle/bassett mix but she just kept growing. Can anyone who knows the breed very well give me some distinct characteristics of the breed? I am seriously thinking about doing that DNA test on her.

She points, is black and white with spots, very vocal, very focused, and extremely too smart for her own good. She is about the height of a GSP, lean, 65#, and very muscular. Also she is very affectionate, quick on her feet and very alert all the time.

He is 4 years old, a finiky eater and a difficult shedder. I need to know if tap water will hurt him if I give him a bath. Im desparate and have tried everything else to try getting him to shed. (this is NOT my first snake) Please help. Thanks

My sister was married for 10 years. My brother-in-law is more of a brother to me than my own blood brother. It was a little weird at first, but I still hang out with both of them just separately. (its been about 6 months now)

well my sis has this new bf. I cant stand him. I've tried hanging out with him on 3 different occasions. And each time it just gets worse. I get a really horrible vibe from him that i cant explain and I really don't trust him. I dont even want him in my house. To make things even worse now, my sis just told me they're pregnant!

Please don't think I'm angry at my sister for any of this. My brother-in-law has a new gf now too (but I love hanging out with the 2 of them)

How do I deal with these feelings towards my sister's new boyfriend and my upcoming niece/nephew's father?

I need help, I feel frustrated and I dont know what to do...

I was on the birth control pill for years to help regulate an irregular period, it stopped working and I tried everything else out there. Finally I tried the depo shot. It was great I had 2 doses of it (6 months worth of birth control) and came off of all birth control november 2007. My husband and I finally decided it was the right time to start trying to have a baby.

I got a period nov, not in december and took a test at the dr's office (neg.) then I got 1 in jan which was right on schedule. Feb was early so I just thought it was becoming irregular again.

Well then I started having all these strange symptoms. ie: major dull cramping in my lower abdomen, small pains in my lower back, I was always nausious, and my boobs hurt so bad I would protect them from the slightest touch.

This went on about 3 weeks. I finally took a home test which also came out negative. and again received my period right on schedule.

My husband of almost 2 years, decided one day that he was done. We still talk almost daily, but he said he cant stand to be around me for long periods of time. Then he told me and our friends, that he quote, "Loves me to death". I just don't understand what I should do. How do you love someone to death, but want a divorce? Im so confused about the whole issue. We both want to remain friends, but how do we do that later on down the road when others come in the picture? PLEASE HELP any advice would be great.
