So, should I give a little notice before I quit? Or none at all?
I've been at my job for 8 years. It's in the private sector and I am so flippin bored it isn't funny! However, I now have the opportunity to go to work for the government. My question is this: Should I just wait until the day before and just say "I QUIT!" or actually give them some notice when I get my start date? The company I work for is horrible, and the state I live in is "at will" so it's not like it will hurt. My problem is that I have worked here for so long....but I hate it! Soooooo....what to do? Your opinions would be helpful.
