Have you stayed here? Pros and Cons? How close is it to Downtown Disney? Is there a washing machine available? Thanks!

  • What items do I need for 3rd baby?

I am due with my 3rd in a month. It's a boy, I already have one of each. I have bought nothing for this baby, thinking I likely already have everything I already need. Someone already gave me a huge stash of diapers already. So is there anything I should pick up? If not for baby, then what about for mama care for afterwards?

  • Can you recommend a serger?

I would like to pay under $200. Also, any serger brands to avoid? Can you stitch a regular straight stitch with a serger, or should I keep my sewing machine around for that?

  • How close are your children in age?

How close in age are your two children? I just found out I am a month pregnant, but my youngest just turned 8 months. My husband and I wanted more kids...we just weren't planning so soon. We're married and want more kids, so to be honest, weren't taking a ton of precautions. I just wasn't expecting this blessing so soon. Please tell me I am not the only one with practically "Irish twins" out there.

  • Does Santa visit at the grandparent's home?

Does Santa visit the grandparent’s house as well as your own? I just find it a bit silly to have Santa visit 3 homes, I understand that the kids will get the same number of gifts, but do they really have to come from Santa? My husband thinks I am being a bit silly, and maybe I am, so I am wondering if it’s the norm for Santa to visit everyone’s house. I know part of it is that I feel that I want the special "Santa visit" to come from just my husband and I, I mean, the grandparents have already raised their kids, do they have to raise mine now too? I understand I might be a bit silly about this. Should I just let it go and let them have their Santa fun too? How do you handle it?

  • Do you wake your kids at night to use the restroom?

My son just turned 3, he does not wear diapers during the day, and we had been doing well at night and naps with no wetting, but now he has started wetting at night. I don’t know if I should go back to diapers at night or just wake him to use the restroom. I didn't want to condition him to have to be woken though. Thoughts?

  • Out of control baby shower?

I got wrangled to help plan my sister's baby shower. That's fine, but she just gave me a tentative guest list of 57 people! She is convinced that she needs to make this co-ed, because she said that the baby's father wants to invite his friends too. I really don't think he cares, but that's my opinion. The other girl (her best friend) and I have been trying to get her to cut down her list and not invite everyone under the sun. I just got an email that she is adament about not editing her list because she is convinced that not everyone will come. I don't mind planning a small shower, but this is turning into a small reception and it's quite a burden on us. She even suggested we should have an open shower so that people can come and go throughout the day as they please, that way the house can accommodate everyone. I know she's excited, but come on, this is getting crazy. Do you have suggestions on how to get her to cut her list, or should I just suck it up and let her invite whomever she wants??

  • How to use over abundance of mint?

I have a ton of mint in my garden. Any good suggestions on how to use it up? I am hoping for some savory recipes, but will take any suggestions. What about a sorbet?? Also, is it worth trying to dry, and how would you use it then?

  • Punch recipes for shower?

I thought I'd ask in this section because so many of you have been to showers. Can you think of a signature punch recipe for a shower when the baby is a boy? I was hoping for a punch that would come out colored blue or green. Thanks!

  • How often do you pump?

I just had my 2nd baby on Monday, and I can't believe how much I have forgotten in the last 3 years! On average how often, and when, do you pump? I thought before I pumped for about 15 min after every time my baby fed, or when engorged. I do want a nice supply of breast milk for when I go back to work. Does anyone have any tips for me? Thanks.

Has anyone tried the Lily Padz nursing pads? A reusable pad boasting no leaks sounds too good to be true. What's your experience? Thanks.

  • Post baby mama items needed?

I am due on the 22nd. It's been 3 years since my last baby. I recall the night we went home from the hospital we ran to the drug store to pick up some mama necessities, but I can't quite recall all that we picked up. I want to be prepared ahead of time now. Can I get some suggestions to add to my mama care package for after my delievery. No need to be shy....I recall, large undies to hold giant feminine pads, stool softener, breast pads for leaking, was there some sort of Tuks pads, or other wiping cloths?? What else do I need to help get through the recovery. Thanks!

  • Is Dylon fabric dye truly permenant?

I know the website says it's a permanent dye, however I am just not sure and I do not want my items to run. I tried Rit and that just keeps running even after 5 washes, so that's obviously not permanent. So is Dylon fabric dye truly permanent with no running (after maybe the first initial washes)? Thanks!

  • Has anyone had the 3 hr Glucose test?

I failed my regular glucose test, and now have the 3hr test scheduled. I am a bit freaked and don't understand why I failed it. I am relatively healthy and don't eat a lot of junk. This is my second pregnancy and there were no issues with the first. I was a healthy weight before my pregnancy and the doctor said I measured exactly on at my last checkup. Has anyone taken the 3 hr test and everything came back allright? Is there anything else about the test or the results you can tell me to put my mind at ease?

  • Has anyone stayed in the newly refurbished Value room at WDW?

I am not sure which of the Value resorts at WDW have been refurbished yet (if someone had that answer too that would be great). I see that they have added a privacy curtain to separate the sink area-which is great! However, is the space in the sink area the same size as the moderate resorts? My main questions is whether or not you can fit a pack-n-play behind the curtain in the value resort? We like to stay in the moderates to tuck our son's pack-n-play behind the curtain. Just wondering if we would be able to fit it in the sink area in the Value resorts. Thanks!

  • Have you notice Frontline product not being as effective?

I gave my cat a dose of FL less than a week ago, tonight I removed a tick from him (already embedded) and a flea as well. I was searching online and came across many articles where people state that FL is just not working for them anymore. I wondered if the makers had to change the chemicals in the product and that's why it doesn't work anymore. On another note, I heard the increase in bed bugs lately is due to the fact that the manufacturers of the products used to kill bed bugs had to stop using a very effective chemical in their products. That's why the bed bugs have been thriving. I wonder if the manufacturers of frontline also used to use that chemical and now they can't, is that why it's not as effective anymore. So has anyone else noticed their FL not working as well lately? Does anyone have and natural solutions for me? Any way to treat my yard? It would be very hard as I live on about 2 acres of woods and my cats are outdoor cats (yeah I know keeping them in would help, we are working on that), but in the meantime does anyone have any ideas for me? Thanks!

  • Why does my ice cream base curdle?

Why does my ice cream base curdle at the last step? I have only made ice cream once before and it was a different type of base, made with condensed milk and no eggs, that turned out great. This recipe calls for whisking sugar and eggs and scalding the milk & cream. Then adding a cup of warm cream to the eggs and whisking. It’s a coffee ice cream so at this point you add some instant coffee to the milk on the stove (not sure if somehow the coffee is curdling it). Then you pour that egg mixture back into the milk and heat on medium until thick. Everything seems to go fine up until the last step. At the point of adding the eggs into the cream it curdles. I assume it’s the milk curdling, but could is also be the eggs? Could the bits be slightly scrambled eggs? What am I doing wrong and how can I fix this? Please help, I need my coffee ice cream. :P

  • What's new at WDW since last spring?

I am heading to WDW soon, and I wanted to know if there are any new attractions or shows (or snacks) that are new since my trip last spring. I am bummed that the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival will be over by the time I get there, so I was looking for something extra and special to look forward to for my upcoming trip. Thanks!

PS- I am staying at PORS. Is there really a butterfly garden there?
