I've kept reptiles for over 25 years, mostly pythons and boas. My current collection consists mostly of indo-Australian pythons, and some boas, Corralus, BCC, & insular Epicrates. Along with a few other odds and ends. I also take in a number of rescues, depending on the space I have available, which is what has lead me to keeping the beardies I've had over the years, and where I've learned quite a bit of the medical info I use. The main reason I answer questions here is to provide knowledge to newer keepers, and to direct them to resources so they can learn more themselves. I am of the firm belief that 99% of the problems that any reptile keeper encounters are entirely self imposed through improper husbandry. Learning as much as you can about how to keep your animals properly will save you tons of time, effort, and money.
