you need to do some research. Not the slated AR propaganda. There have been like 23 deaths in 50 years contributed to the big constrictors. Wow less than one death a year. Compared to dog that kill on average 25 and severally injury thousands a year. Nor is there some epidemic of them running the streets like dog and cats.

Actually contorary to the first poster, it's actually almost unheard of to be killed by your pet python or boa. When owners have no idea what they're doing it's more than likely the snake that suffers at the hands of this incompetence not the owner. If I'm correct, there's been less than 10 deaths in the USA from pet constrictors in the last 25 years (I could be off but that's what I've been told). So the point is, it's common misconceptions like the first answer here that push people to think they need to ban snakes.
I think it's great that you're taking the time to bring awareness to this potential ban Dave and I hope more people like you take it seriously and take a stand. I'm a Canuck but I'd be glad to support and sign any protest.
All the best.

First of all this is for questions not for snake propaganda. The reason this is happening is because lots of people who have no idea what they're doing get killed by their pet boas or pythons, or they get loose and then animal control and police officers have to deal with it.
