hello everyone! i'm writing a book, and my main character is mentally tortured. i have some ideas but not many. if it helps to know, the main character is a girl who is extremely tough but has the fears of drowning, suffocating, and of course a loved one being harmed. i'm looking for some unique ideas! thanks so much!! :)

what figure of speech is, "what's in a name? that which we call a rose by any other word would smell as sweet."? it's from romeo and juliet, and it means that a rose would still be the same if we called it anything else, so what does a name really mean? my teacher says it's a simile, personification, or metaphor and i'm not sure which! thanks :)

here are the 5 aspects: physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social. I need definitions of what "wellness" and "illness" are in each category. wellness is being at the top of each aspect. for example, if you have physical wellness, you aren't overweight or underweight, balance what you eat, exercise regularly, get enough sleep, etc. illness is at the bottom, so it would basically be the opposite of all those things for physical health. so obviously physical health is easy, but what about the rest? i don't know how to describe what wellness and illness is in the other 4 aspects. help!!! thanks in advance.

so, my friend and i are arguing with a couple of people that it isn't a choice. meaning that you can't force yourself or choose to be attracted to or love someone. you have to really feel it inside. but the other people think that you can make yourself gay/lesbian. what do you guys think? can you choose to be homosexual, or are you just made attracted to someone of the same gender? please no rude comments :)

I'm not EMO or goth but I like dark things. for example: graveyards, dementors (ha ha) and scary things. I feel like it's not normal. am I right? if I'm weird, just go ahead and say so :) i guess i like the color black, but i don't dress in it, so no one really knows that i like dark stuff. Is there anyone else like that? I feel like I have to change what I'm like to fit in.

I can't always tell. I think they do at least somewhat. I'm a 4.0 student, never done drugs, smoked, or even dated. They don't really let me have my short little guy friend over with other friends there. He's just a friend and absolutely nothing more. I'm way too afraid to ask if I could date. It feels like just normal stupid teenager problems, but how am i supposed to know if they trust me or not? It might just be a protective thing... but i don't know. I feel like even when i work hard and do my best in school, do what chores i'm asked to do, never come home after 10, etc, i'm not being rewarded with trust. they do trust me with my own computer and everything, so i give them credit for that.
