  • Whats wrong with my front brakes?

    Car info:

    99' Chevy Cavalier

Front disk brakes, rotors approx. 30,000 miles old

Also, new(er) control arm (driver front). original was bent toward cab from curb accident.

    Problem:

I just changed my pads for the first time and noticed those pads on the driver front had this kind of wear: \\ (it looked exactly like those forward slashes) looking at them from the top; and when i got them off they fit together perfect, just on an angle so nothing too funny. And the passenger pads were normal. I know after an accident of a certain degree things just aren't the same. This could be one of those cases, but if there is any way to fix this, and maybe DIY i hope, please help. Thanks

  • Do you know of any experimental treatments for Endometriosis?

I have Endometriosis and have tried quite a few different treatment options and none have worked for me. I am almost 19 years old and my previous doctor wanted to avoid any type of surgery because i'm so young (I am getting a new doctor and my first appointment is in the beginning of December). I have tried Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo, Depo Provera and Seasonqiue. I have also taken estrogen tablets. Any type of over the counter medicine does not help me at all (including midol, pamrine, ect). I have also taken naproxine, but it also did not help.

So, I was wondering if there is anything you would recommend, or any experimental treatments that you know of.

  • When can I change my barbell?

I got my industrial pierced a month and a half ago. I know that it takes about a year for my piercing to heal completely, but I was wondering if I could change the barbell before that. If so, how soon?

  • Can I have a Father-Daughter dance at my wedding?

I would love to have the traditional father-daughter dance at my wedding, but my fiance has two mothers. He has lived with his step-mother for 10 years, and she was the one who basically raised him. However, he doesn't feel like hes her mother. He loves his birth mother, even though he has not seen her in years (he went over 10 years without seeing her). He feels like she is his true mother.

The problem is both mothers would be hurt if they were not chosen to do the traditional mother-son dance. To avoid that, we thought that maybe we should just not have a mother-son dance...but I feel that it would be somewhat awkward if I had a father-daughter dance.

  • How do I go about making a guest list for my wedding?

I have quite a few questions that go with the broader question asked, so if you have any ideas, please answer! :-)

I want a big wedding, so all of my family and his family are going to be invited, but my family is very large and his is very small. Will it be weird because I will have a lot of guests on my side and he wont?

At what age should i allow the guests to bring a date?

When making the guest list do I include dates and children?

  • How do I turn do the offer to be a maid of honor?

My friend of 7 years is getting married soon and has asked me to be her maid of honor. I am unsure of if i should accept or say no thank you.

My friend and I use to be best friends, however we have grown apart over the years. However, she still considers me her closet friend and the one she trusts the most. She is making a lot of positive changes in her life and her fiance makes her very happy. It is a big honor to be asked and I don't want to let her down.

On the other hand, I do not feel very close to her anymore, she went through a period of 3 years where she made horrible decisions and pushed me away. She had also went after my boyfriend twice (she has applogized). I also do not like her fiance at all and she has already been engaged 4 times (I have no idea if this one will last, so far it has been the most successful one and she seems the happiest).

First of all I do not know if I should accept the honor and be her maid of honor.

Second, if I do not accept, how do i tell her no? I don't want to hurt her feelings or let her down.

    Thanks for your advice!
