For me life is about striving to know God, love Him and apply that knowledge in daily life. Sounds like preaching doesn’t it ?… may be… but the fact is, I am not worthy to be called a preacher… I sin like everybody else (perhaps even a little bit more). Yet if I should introduce myself properly I can’t leave religion out since as far as I am concerned it’s the bottom line. So how did the religious preoccupation come about? Well my mother was a Greek-Orthodox, my father is Protestant and my wife is Roman Catholic; it took me a while to sort it all out… it’s a fascinating puzzle and I learned a lot from it and I still do; perhaps the most important thing I got out of my research is a love for Truth. And the truth is… everybody has a piece of it; so I try to do like the bees and look for the best pollen. But if you really want the truth then you cannot reject the Pope as many of my beloved Orthodox and Protestants brothers and sisters still do: http://www.tlig.org/en/messages/255/ Amen !
Running two 1/4hp 110V electrical motors in series to avoid electrical waste in 220-110 transformer?
I am considering purchasing two identical electrical appliances - 110V-60Hz (conching machines) to run them in series from 220V-60Hz outlet (110V not available) ; the idea is to be able to process two batches simultaneously while avoiding the energy waste of transforming 220 down to 110 ; I know this would work with incandescent bulbs but I do not know if it would work with electrical motors because of inductive component of load that might interfere with each other ?
4 AnswersEngineering8 years agoWhen making a profit on F/X who is paying the bill ?
This may seem like a naive question but say you make a large profit buying yen low and selling high a few day later ; who is footing the bill ? other F/X investors who made less fortunate choices ? does it indirectly cause a minor but measurable impact on Japanese economy ? a minor but measurable impact on US economy ?... just exactly out of who's pocket is that profit coming from ?
