Im a 15 year old freshman and want to join the marines.i was wondering before i join what im getting myself into.do they give you the training you really need to defend yourself and your brothers?or are you just being abused and battle hardened?

why is it that i bench press different ammounts on different benches.i usually use a crappy old bench but occasionally use a friends thats larger with more padding.i can bench 15 pounds more with this bench.why such a big difference?
