Hi, I'm Kayla and I'm not much.

  • My first cardiologist appointment. PVCs?

20 year old female, good blood pressure, other wise healthy but have been diagnosed with anxiety. Around December I had really bad PVCs . They ended up going away for a couple months but came back again but not as bad. I decided to get a holter and it only showed 13 PVCS. Now they are kind bad again (about 200 a day at most) and I noticed I had a couple while exercising . Just two. I don't always get them while I exercise ... But I sent a msg to my doctor cause I was a little concerned and she wants me to see a cardiologist about this. I'm super scared... Should I be worried??? What are the chances I'll be healthy? Ive never ever had problems with my heart before. I used to be super active in high school no problem. This only started with my anxiety

  • Was this NSVT or all in my head?

I've a 20 year old female. Healthy. Only been diagnosed with anxiety in my lifetime. I have very infrequent PVCs . At most 200 a day. Some days none. Today I was sitting on the couch watching TV and I had a PVC followed by three fast beats. I couldn't say how fast .... But I'd GUESS around 100-120? I could be way off. After those 3 beats my heart rate went down to about 70. Was this NSVT?? I felt no symptoms I was just terrified after because I don't think I've ever experienced it before. If I hadn't been checking my pulse I would have never caught it. I don't know if I'm making it out to be worse than it truly was or if this is something serious.

  • PVCs and sudden death?

Any correlation between infrequent PVCs in a healthy heart and sudden cardiac death ?

  • PVCS, V-Tach, and Sudden Cardiac Death?

I have a few questions about PVCs.... I m wondering if any learned individuals could answer them for me! I ve been searching high and low on the Internet, but I can t seem to find a solid answer..

In a healthy individual with a perfectly normal heart who has infrequent PVCs with let s say less than 500 in any given 24 hour period...What s their chance of developing V-Tach or V-Fib from them?

Also, do patients with infrequent benign PVCs pose the threat of sudden cardiac death??? Are the chances same as patients without PVCs ?

  • High heart rate while standing. Should I be concerned or is this normal?

I recently got a job at Victoria's Secret and this is the first job I've have in a while. I'm not used to standing up all day so it really wears me out.

I've noticed that my heart rate is up at work. Anywhere between 100-120 even up to 130 and I just stand around. I have to admit I am anxious because I'm worried about my heart.

Resting it is 65-75 and my blood pressure is good . Should I be concerned about this or will I eventually get used to it and my heart won't have to work as hard. Please answer I'm worried about can't find answers anywhere!!

ALSO: I've had an X-ray , US , and holter monitor 24 hrs and everything came back normal. I do have anxiety though.

  • Should I see a cardiologist?

I recently had a holter monitor for 24 hours to rule out any arrhythmias. I was having PVCs so I wanted to put my mind at east. All my nurse said about the report was there were no unsual heart rhythms detected. They didn t even say anything about PVCs. But apparently once at 12:30 my heart rate got up to 146 Bpm . Didn t say how long. I obviously can t remember that day so I don t know what I was doing at 12 , but I do suffer from anxiety and it can be likely that that s what caused it. My resting pulse is generally 60-70 . I m not sure if that once instance is enough to see a cardiologist or not. If it s just anxiety I don t want to waste thousands of dollars to be told so AGAIN. Judging by my report what do you think I should do? The nurse didn t push the idea just asked if I wanted to. Which shows me that it s not very alarming to her.

  • Is stress causing this?

I've been suffering from severe anxiety since this past December. ( I have gotten a LOT better since, but it's still lingering.) I had a scare for a while that I had high blood pressure because I was getting some high readings at the office, but at home it was normal. My doctor assured me that she thought it was just stress causing the high readings because I would be having panic attacks while they took my bp. Last visit which was a month ago they got a reading of 116/68 because I finally got over my fear of getting my bp taken.

Recently I've been checking my bp throughout the day. During the day it's always great 100-117/65-75. I've also noticed that I'm not anxious during the day either. At night I get readings of 130-140/80-85, but I've also noticed I'm way more anxious during these hours as well. After a few minutes typically it comes down to around 120/80 or below. If I'm worked up about the high readings it stays high. Have I just developed a habit of getting anxious at night causing my readings to go up? It's always around the same time. I used to never get anxious around this time. I noticed I have been getting worked up at night every since my dad told me people suffer from anxiety attacks more at night.... Seems like he planted a bad seed in my head. Should I even worry about these high readings since typically I have marvelous bp?

  • Blood pressure Monitor malfunction or high blood pressure 156/136?

I'm a 20 y/o female with no history of any medical issues accept panic disorder. I've gotten into the bad habit of always checking my blood pressure. I've seen all my readings.. Standing, after walking, resting , laying down. It always ranges from 110/70-135/85 on my new monitor. (I think it may read high especially is diastolic) . My older monitor reads a lot lower. Typically on that monitor it reads 100/65. My recent bp at the doctor which was a month ago was 116/68 but I was pretty nervous. The highest my bp has EVER been while having a panic attack was 160/106..

But last night my monitor said something very strange. It was reading a little high in the systolic for a few readings. 135/83. I took it again and got the same thing. Trying to relax (which I was) it shot up to 156/136!!!!! I went into FULL blown panic. My heart was pounding and I took it again and it was 163/93.... ... Once I calmed down .. I figured that monitor must be going off the deep end. I just used my other one and got my typical healthy readings. 100/65... Do you think I should be worried?! Or do you think that monitor just malfunctioned. I should mention I had a similar problem once but I KNEW it malfunctioned. Because the machine acted a little weird that reading . It read 178/123 once and right after it measures 115/75.

  • Can high blood pressure during a panic attack harm you?

I have been diagnosed with panic disorder, and I've been dealing with it on and off for about 4 years. For about a year it was completely gone but it came back when i had a severe panic attack at work and was sent to the ER. My blood pressure was apparently 190/100. I've never seen it get that high again. Usually during an attack it gets up to 160/100 highest. (I had a monitor at home) typically my blood pressure is very good. It likes to fall in the 100-120/60-80 range. Something I see it a little higher than 120/80 but not often at all. My question is does high blood pressure spikes pose a threat to my health? I'm a 20 year old female with no other conditions and typically good blood pressure .

I do not take medication for my anxiety because I refuse to. I've been working on self healing and I am doing very well. Went from 2 panic attacks a day to roughly 2 a month.

  • Would a CT scan of the chest show and anuerysm ?

    I am a 20yo female. 25.8 BMI. Healthy as of recently .

I recently had a CT scan, chest X-ray, and two EKGS all came back normal at the hospital. Discharged with anxiety. I was admitted because my blood pressure was 190/100. I was having a severe panic attack.

I'm worried about having an anuerysm because I can feel my pulse and see my pulse at the suprasternal notch. Supposedly that is not normal. It's worse at sometimes than others. Sometimes I can't even feel it but sometimes I can see it it's so noticeable . I spoke with my doctor and she was not concerned at all, and told me I have a thin neck.

  • Would a Ct scan or chest x Ray show an anuerysm ?

I read online that you are not supposed to feel or see your pulse at the suprasternal notch. (Area above collarbones and at base of neck)

I recently went to the hospital due to an anxiety attack. During my stay they did two EKGS, one Chest CT scan (to check my lungs for a clot ) , and one chest X-ray to view my heart. Everything can back normal because I wasn t diagnosed with anything but anxiety .

I also went to my doctor for a follow up about my anxiety and I asked about this. She didn t seem concerned in the slightest and brushed me off. She just said I have a very thin neck.

I do not have any known heart conditions. I have very good blood pressure . 100/65-120/80 range. Typically in the middle. I m a SLIGHTLY overweight 20yo female. My bmi is 25.8 and I have a very slim torso / neck. I eat healthy but typically am not very active

I m wondering if I should worry about having a heart condition or an anuerysm ? I just want to put my mind at ease .

  • How can you tell a guy is into you?

So, I really want a boyfriend and I think I found a guy... KNOW I found a guy that I could totally see myself with. The thing is we've only talked on Facebook a few days in a row, other than that we've just seen eachother in the hallway. I didn't want to rush things with him at all, but now I'm already feeling like I really like him. He's funny, sweet, and really intelligent. The first thing I ever said to him was Hi you're cute, and he replied and we've been talking a lot. So obviously that didn't scare him off. I know I'm a pretty girl, but I don't know if he finds ME pretty. He didn't say anything about that. But, anyways... The thing that caught me off guard was when we were talking about relationships he told me what he wanted exactly. I thought that was odd because why would he tell a girl he didn't have any feelings for what he wants in a potential relationship. This is what he said exactly...

"Hahaha. Yeahp. I decided relationships aren't for me. Unless there's a girl that's as easy going as me, can trust me, and is extremely trustworthy and doesn't change her mind like she does shoes, then I'm not gonna be dating for quite a while.

And I don't like chicks who flirt with other dudes. It's awkward."

The thing is he described me exactly. I want the same exact thing too and I told him. Whenever we talk he asks questions about me which means he wants to get to know me. I'm just wondering if there's a potential chance, and what should I do to help this out? Should I hint that I wanna hang out or is that too soon?

  • Any color guard tips you could share?

So, I'm new in color guard this year. I'm going to be a sophmore in highschool. So, I've been catching on pretty quickly with fundamentals like jazz running and drop spins. I was just wondering is there any tips you could share? One thing I'm having a hard time on is our pull hit toss that we have to do. I hardly ever get it to spin enough.

  • Why must relationship be so hard? Relationship problems.?

So, my boyfriend and I hardly ever fight. I'd say once every two weeks. But the problem is every time we do get into a disagreement we break up. We always get back together, but it can be so stressful. Sometimes he just takes things too far. Like today we fought about this... I got home from a long day at band camp an I was excited to talk on the phone with him. I called and he said he was with friends. I got upset because he NEVER tells me when he's going to be with friends. I was really looking forward to talking to him. So, we got in a little arguement and I said " I'm done" he thought I meant with the relationship when I just meant the convo. So he said "Fine I don't care".which really hurt. So basically my question is... Isn't there ANYTHING we can do to help prevent break ups everytime we fight? Thanks! ( sorry for the long question...) we are pretty serious btw.

  • Does the antibiotic amoxicillen affect birth control?

I am currently on the birth control Loestrin 24fe. When used correctly (which I do) it is over 99% effective. Recently I got strep and was prescribed amoxicillen. I had to take 3 pills a day for 10 days. I didn't read the bottle before I started taking them and I read that it may affect birth control. I had unprotected sex a few times while taking the anitbiotic. I'm super worried that I could be pregnant, and I had NO idea that it could affect the birth control. My period is due is a couple days, but I'm super worried. Some sites are saying it doesn't affect it much, but others are saying it reduces effectiveness by 80-90%!! I don't know what to believe.

  • I'm not sure what to think?

I don't know what to think. First of all I'll start off my saying I've been on birth control for a little over a year now, I take it correctly as well. I had some days where I missed pills, but I haven't lately. I've been having occasional unprotected sex, but sometimes we used a condom for the past couple months. About 12 days ago I was prescribed amoxicillin for 10 days to get rid of strep. The thing is I didn't know if affected birth control, so we had sex a few times during the time I was on the antibiotic. Right now I am having lower back cramps that aren't too unbearable, but I normally don't have back cramps. It's just been this passed month that I've been occasionally having them. Another thing I suppose I must point out is that I've also smoked weed a few times this month and last. My boyfriend also smokes regularly. I was wondering if that affects my chance of being pregnant. Please help me I'm an emotional wreck.

Oh and my only symptoms have just been lower back cramps, but I'm also having like.. Foot cramps? It's weird. My period is due is 3 days.

  • I don't know if I may be pregnant or not.?

So, I've been on the pill for a month and a half and just Sunday I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend. Some day after I missed a pill, and just today I'm on my period. It's not light. It's like my normal period would be. I hear that a woman can bleed 2-5 days after sex because she's pregnant. I'm super worried. I don't know if I'm pregnant or if it's because I may have missed a pill. Help!
