Tyler and Kassidy's momma
Would an a-line bob look good on me?
I have thin fine, straight, hair. I usually wear it medium to long and layered. I want to do something different and I like the way a-line bobs look. I am a stay at home mom of 2. My "styling" is wash and wear. If a bob wouldn't work what would?
Hopefully this link will work. Its a picture of me so you can tell what shape my face is cause I don't have a clue. I'm the one in the wedding dress. http://www.facebook.com/photos.php?&id=829512500&s...
1 AnswerHair1 decade agoStay-at-home BF moms Do you ever feel like this?
My husband works all day and I'm home with a 22 month old and a 2 1/2 month old. The evenings and weekends are our family time. Sundays we spend the day with his parents at their house. Most Sundays I'm in the house with the kids and my MIL, while my husband and FIL are outside in the garage, tinkering. Every now and then (as in once every 2-3 weeks) I tell my husband I need a break and I either go drive around, or go out to the barn (we board my horse) and work with my horse. Every time I leave I feel a deep pang of guilt. By the time I'm doing something I don't think about kids or my hubby, but when I'm on my way home I feel incredibly guilty. The guilt is why I don't hardly go out.
Tonight I asked my husband, since Sundays he leaves me to work on his 4-wheeler, if a couple to 3 evenings a week I could leave him with the kids to go ride. He somewhat sounded put off that I asked. Am I being unreasonable? Should I just stay home in the evenings with him and the kids? Have any other moms felt like this? What did you do?
3 AnswersFamily1 decade agoNeed advice on running a Poker Run?
I get the basic jist of a poker run, but I've never attended one or ran one. My saddle club is thinking of planning a poker run/trail ride. Has anyone ran/attended a poker run? any tips or advice? What makes poker runs fun and memorable?

7 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoMoms-to-be at 38ish weeks. Easy/fun 2-10 pts.?
Whats up? How's the pregnancy? How much longer do you think you have? What have you tried to get yourself you go into labor? Are you/your house ready for a baby? Any worries/concerns driving you crazy yet?
We're doing good, lots of contractions/braxton hicks. The doctor said we're 2 cm and about 50% effaced. We're not there yet, and I'm sure I'll have to be induced after my due date. I've been trying sex and walking to get myself to go into labor. I'm about to try Raspberry Leaf Tea to try to get my contractions to regulate. We're ready, I think, I don't know about my son (19months old) but I've been done with this pregnancy for about 3 weeks now. I'm getting more and more paranoid that I'm gonna need a c-section for some reason. We had a vaginal birth last time and I'm hoping for another easy birth.
2 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoWhat are the chances of breaking your water while having an orgasm?
I know it sounds funny but I was finishing and a lot more fluid came out than normal. It was a milky white/clear fluid that didn't really have an odor. I'm 36 weeks 1 day. Yesterday the doc said I was 50% and 1 cm, so not really close, but not impossible. Thanks for the input!

4 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoWhining JRT, Never had this problem HELP!?
Our 7 month old JRT has started in the last month, whining constantly. It's not because he has to go outside, he can't possibly be hungry, and he isn't injured. I've been around dogs my whole life but never dealt with a whiner. Chewers, house soilers, separation anxiety, etc., but never a whiner. The only time he doesn't whine is when the ENTIRE family is together in the same room. How do I go about keeping him from whining all the time? It's not just a JRT trait is it?
4 AnswersDogs1 decade agoMoms who've had multiple births?
I know that this question gets asked a lot, but it's an easy 2 or 12 points.
Was your first early, on time, or late? Were your consecutive children early, late, or on time? How many hrs were you in labor with each?
Just for curiosity.
7 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoCould I substitute canned green beans?
I have a new recipe that I found and made for dinner tonight. My husband and I like it, however, he told me that he doesn't like the frozen green beans the recipe calls for. The frozen beans are supposed to be thawed before being added to this recipe. If I were to drain canned green beans could I used them in place of the frozen?
5 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoWhen do you switch to a toddler bed?
So this is almost 3 questions in one. When do you switch your 'baby' to a toddler bed? Is their a way to help make the transition easier? and When do you/can you start using pillows?
Our son is 16 months and Has gotten into a bad habit of standing in the crib and shaking the living daylights out of it. I'm afraid he's gonna fall out. He got a pillow from his aunt with a matching blanket and I don't know when to start using the pillow. Thanks for the help!
1 AnswerToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoBaby Girl name to go with Ann, Dawn, or Rae?
My husband and I have narrowed down to the following names: Maddison, Riley, Zoey, Kylee, Kaylee, and Casey. We'd like to use family names for middle names. Those are Ann, Dawn, or Rae. Our last name starts with an S.
My personal favorite is Maddison Rae, but my husband has doubts about Maddison.
What are your favorite names of those listed?
6 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoCosmetologists: What is your opinion on your career?
I am getting ready to start cosmetology school in January. My husband and I have talked about it. We've decided that it's a good idea. We know that starting out cosmetologist don't make a lot of money. My parents are supportive. My uncle is co-signing on my tuition loan. His family however, is less than supportive. He has 2 hair stylists in his family and they are trying to talk me out of going to school. I would appreciate some other opinions. Please tell me everything, the good, the bad, the ugly. I am still wanting to go to school, but they're making me have doubts. Thanks for your opinions!
1 AnswerHair1 decade agoWe need a good name for a JRT?
Our Heeler fell through and we found a JRT pup who is better than the heeler. Now we just need a name. He's very quiet/calm (believe it or not). 4 month old male JRT, "tri color". Some names we've nixed are:
Jack, Rusty, Hondo, Junior, Trouble.

6 AnswersDogs1 decade agoHow do I teach my 15 month old to leave the trash can alone?
We have a trash can with a lid and lately our son won't leave it alone. He puts stuff in (that isn't trash), pulls stuff out, and in general just plays in it. We've tried distracting him, telling him no, and removing him from the trash can. We even try to let him throw trash away so he can learn how and when it's ok to be in the trash. Nothing works. After he yells he goes straight back to it. How do you teach a 15 month old to stay outta the trash?

2 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoMommies I need job/prenatal care advise?
This may or may not be the right forum but I need help and this is where I'm asking first.
We are broke, super broke. We borrow money from our parents every week to pay our bills. And we live as cheep as possible without living in a card board box on the highway. We have a now 1 year old. We were really careful, and now have one on the way. My husbands company offers health insurance but it is waaaaay too expensive, so we don't have any. We aren't poor enough to qualify for state assistance. They don't count our 1 year old as being a member of the household, even though we pay for daycare, feed, and clothe him.
The options we've been given are as follows:
I quit my job or go part time (when we can't pay bills as is and I make less that my husband by about half)
I keep my job and we some how find an extra $400 a month for prenatal care
or
I go with out prenatal care
There is another solution and it is in no possible way an option.
My question is, What would you do in our situation?
Please give me honest, polite, answers. I'm extremely emotional right now and don't need or want rude comments.
