So I will be entering college pretty soon, and at this point, the idea of becoming an high school English teacher is intriguing, but before I do, I have to ask the question above.

I have a lot of different books and poems I'd like to share with students, ranging from novels like Orwell's 1984 to Puzo's The Godfather to Art Spiegelman's Maus and poems from EE Cummings, to Allen Ginsberg to Langston Hughes. So I want to know from English teachers, how lenient are schools in letting you decide your own curriculum? Would books like Maus and The Godfather be allowed to be taught to students?

I want to finish high school ASAP, and luckily for me my school is self-paced. I know I can get through everything, but when I sit down to do work I just can't get myself to do it. Also, I have a failing social life, which I try to repair and that can be time consuming. Any ideas?

I'm not sure if I should give it a chance. What do y'all think? Is it good? How many political jokes are in it?

I've been on lexapro 10 mg for about a year now. I was on an anti-psychosis to help me deal with my homicidal ideation I had for a while, and that helped. They took me off those in September, and I think around December I started to feel the symptoms of bipolar disorder.

I get mood swings throughout the day, I sometimes feel invincible, I sometimes don't sleep much and other times sleep too much, I have trouble concentrating which makes it tough to read and do schoolwork. I get impulses, and my sex drive has skyrocketed like CRAZY. I sometimes get crying fits. I get very irritable a lot.

Anyways, could it be the meds? The doctors think it is, they upped my dosage to 15 mg a day to help get rid of side effects, and that effed me up for a while, though I've calmed down a little. I still do feel bipolar though, I feel like I'm in a manic state, and I'm scared that I'll become depressed in a few months.

Steve McQueen may be my favorite director, despite the fact he's only directed three feature length films, but I haven't seen any of his short films. Is there anywhere online where I can watch them?

I like guys like Shabazz Palaces and Blu and Exile. Do you know any other rappers who's lyrics and sound are really poetic? And preferably not someone mainstream.

By this I mean, what thoughts do you have about your penis? How have others treated you when they found out? How has your family treated you? Have you thought about getting your penis removed at all, or actually done it? I hope this doesn't come across as offensive, please understand I just want to know how it is to grow up being a trans woman, and I have nothing wrong with trans women at all.

I feel like the 90's may have been the best decade for movies so far? Besides these five we had movies like American Beauty, Forrest Gump, Goodfellas and Se7en, just to name a few. What do you think the best decade was and why?

My favorite rapper is Atmosphere, and I love the song God's Bathroom Floor since the lyrics are really deep and it's really slow and calm. I was wondering if you know some other good rap songs that are slow, especially songs by Atmosphere.

ABSOLUTELY NO Lil Wayne or 2 Chainz, or any of that. The only mainstream rappers I like are Kendrick Lamar and Eminem.

So I'm sure there's plenty of people asking this since it's almost Haloween, but idc. I haven't seen too many horror movies, though I love Hitchcock and I thought The Shining was good. I'd prefer older movies, but newer one's are okay. I want a movie to watch by myself at night that will actually scare me. Also, is Prometheus scary and should I watch it before or after Alien?

I watched Shame the other day, and I just finished watching Hunger. Fassbender proved that he is one of the best actors in those two movies and he definitely deserved an Oscar for BOTH those roles. I'm really hoping he'll get supporting actor for 12 Years a Slave, or even best Actor for The Counselor this year. But why was he not given even a nomination for either of those two roles, which are two of the best performances I've ever seen?

Mine was the Blues Brothers.

Okay, I LOVE American Beauty, but Fight Club is way better. It has a great ending and is one of the most quotable movies ever. It's way deeper than American Beauty. It didn't even get nominated for any major Oscars. It was the second best movie of the 90's, (behind Titanic).

I have nothing wrong with people having sex, I get it. Many times I'll feel lustful, I stare at women's asses all the time, but I am disgusted by sex, I don't want to have sex.

I'm wondering though, is it possible to find a spouse who feels the same way? What are the chances of that, and how do you find other people who don't like sex? I mean, I'm sure they're out there, I'm not THAT weird to be the only one in the world who doesn't want to have sex, but, how do I find these people?

Just finished Homeland, (started it Friday night, finished it around 5 a.m. this morning) and now I'm not sure what to watch. I'll give you a list of shows I'm thinking of watching and shows I like and you can give me your own suggestions if you'd like.
