How do you set a default DNS subdomain address for your domain?
The domain I own is dustinsoftware.com, and I want to set it so any address I type in (asdfasfd.dustinsoftware.com or download.dustinsoftware.com) redirects to the address 67.188.0.229, or a CNAME for dustinsoftware.com (same address). Sites like deviantart do this for their hosting, so any new user is given a subdomain and any invalid subdomain takes the user to an error page. How do they do this? Is this a standard DNS technique or do they use their own custom software?
2 AnswersComputer Networking1 decade agoWhere can I find drivers for my USB sound card?
I recently got an Andrea USBD-2A sound card from a garage sale, but it didn't come with any CDs. Windows XP recognizes it only as USB Sound Card, with only the recording device available. I need the sound output functionality as well. The CD that came with it has the drivers on (which I don't have) and I've been all over the Internet looking for them. Can anyone help?

I downloaded a beta copy of Vista, but I'm wondering for tweaking purposes, how do you defeat the Windows Vista expiration timer? I've seen it done on XP, so it's not impossible...
3 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoHow do you get special Google links?
How do you get Google's special links for your site? For example, when I do a search for my site, Dustin Software, it would show my site, then underneath links to Forums, News, Webmail, and Projects. I've seen it done before, but have no clue how it's done. Any ideas?
1 AnswerInternet1 decade agoHow do you make it so the owner of a file or folder can't change the permissions in Windows 2000 Server?
I want to create a directory share for Windows 2000 Server that any user can write to. However, I want it so when users add or create files, they can't view or modify others' data. This works out fine, but how do you make it so the owner of a folder can't change the permissions, while still leaving them as the owner? Otherwise users could deny Admins permissions to that file, and then admins would have to reset the permissions for that file which can be time-consuming. Any ideas?
