Seriously. We pay billions of dollars in taxes, and yet the politicians are saying that a shutdown is almost inevitable. Is this what we're paying for? Are there any way we can force a vote of no confidence in the federal legislature? What does a shutdown actually entail? Who would be affected, and to what extent?

I got my license suspended after a car accident and had it reinstated. I recently got a ticket and it looks like I'll get another suspension because I was on a probationary period. Is there any way to work out a solution? If I lose my license, I'll have to find another job because I have to drive to another city to work.

And where I might find more information on what components/techniques are used? I'm doing research for my next book, and would like to make it as realistically accurate as possible.

If someone has to take medical leave for injuries obtained outside of work? Someone I know has to have surgery, but he's the only one in the household who's earning wages. If he takes a leave of absence, he'll be broke in a hurry; I'm wondering if there's any way to offset this.

A couple was in the marriage counselor's office. The counselor asks, "So, how is your sex life?" The husband says, "We sleep in different rooms, but we have verbal intercourse every day." Confused, the counselor says, "You mean oral sex, I take it." The wife corrects him: "No, verbal intercourse. Every time we pass each other, we say **** you!"

As they're walking along, they spy a bridge and decide to cross it. Halfway over the bridge, one says, "Hey, I have to take a leak." He stops, undoes his trou, and lets fly. The other two, hearing the call of nature as well, shake the dew off their lilies, too. As they're going, the first says, "Hey, let's go for a swim." The second says, "Nah, the water's pretty cold." The third says, "Yeah, and it's pretty deep, too."
