  • Throat hurts, trouble swallowing?

Since last Tuesday (Oct. 14th) I've had a sore throat. I went to the doctor on Friday, and she said it was a viral issue and there wasn't much she could do. It hasn't gotten any worse since then, and today it felt pretty good up until this evening. I have noticed, however, that I seem to be having trouble swallowing food. I just noticed this problem today. I can swallow water fine, but food seems to hurt more, and feels like it's getting stuck on the right side of my throat, and that's what hurts the most now, when before it was the left side of my throat that seemed to be hurting more. Anyone know what the problem could be? I haven't been feverish, I don't have a rash, my nose is somewhat runny, but it usually is. I'm pretty confused about this, as sore throats don't normally last this long.

  • Pain in left testicle?

Today I noticed a pain in my left testicle, or what seems to by my testicle. It just kind of came about while I was sitting down, not really doing anything. I tried masturbating to see if that helped ease the pain, as I have had similar pains before that were relieved by masturbating, but it didn't help... it almost seemed to make it worse.

It only hurts for a second or two, but it's a sharp pain that goes from the bottom of my testicle to just above my penis on the left side, in the pubic bone area. It's not constant, and it seems as if random movements trigger it. I didn't notice any lumps on my testicle, no discoloration or any other abnormalities, just pain when I touch it or bump it. I took some Aleve about a half hour ago, but I don't notice much, if any, improvement, but I only took 1 tablet.

Any help or recommendations are appreciated.

  • Twitching in my chest?

Last Thursday I started getting a weird twitching feeling in my chest. It felt like it was my heart, and sort of felt like it would beat rapidly for a few seconds, then go back to normal. It happened a lot on Saturday, slightly less on Sunday, and by Wednesday had almost disappeared.

I had a doctor's appointment on Tuesday, I had an EKG and x-rays done, and both came back normal. My blood pressure was also fine. It doesn't happen all the time, and when it does happen, it only lasts a few seconds.

The feeling started to come back a little bit last night and this morning. Yesterday was the first time I had a drink with caffeine in it since Saturday, and I don't know if that's related or not.

I'm 21, male, I don't smoke or do drugs, and vary rarely drink any alcohol. The semester is winding down, and a few people, including the doctor, said it could be stress-related, but I don't really feel like I'm under any more stress than normal. Any suggestions?
