I was wondering just how prevalent this problem is. I live in California and she is in Tennessee, though I hope to be with her soon. We talk openly about her cutting, Yet I wonder, do I treat this as an addiction, or as a compulsion. I truly wish to help her, and I know there are no easy answers or quick fixes. I constantly reassure her and tell her we will take it one day at a time.

I'm curious about those in similar situations. Are there specific triggers to make a person cut? Are there things I should avoid? Like I said, I plan to move to be with her soon and I don't want to risk losing her by doing or saying something stupid.

I am a compulsive snacker, and I am trying to change my eating habits. I need recommendations for low carb, low calorie snacks. I'm not worried about fat, just carbs and calories, maybe sugar too.

There is this woman (33 and a recovering addict) who I dearly love as a friend. She says she loves me (47 no addictions) also and wants to keep it platonic. I have no problem with that. I also would like to mention that we all are currently in a homeless situation, some are at a shelter and others stay at a mission.

The problem is that recently she heard that I was a womanizer which is far from the truth. I have a lot of female friends but I am in no relationships with any of them. She heard that these women soon get tired of me and leave. I deny this and explained my side.

If she wants a platonic relationship why should she be bothered by other women? I try to treat them all fairly and according to their needs. I am more of a councilor/listener to these women and once the problems are resolved they no longer need me and I can live with that.

Is she wanting more than she is admitting she wants? Or is she trying to find an excuse to be rid of me.

I tell her that I care for all of these women but I love only her.

I am a huge fan of the "Resurrection Band" (aka Rez Band or Rez) as well as "Jars of Clay" and "P.O.D." What are the names of some Christian bands comparable to these?

Have a friend from work, 2 1/2 years, I'm several years older than he is. He recently left his wife.(no details) His wife is also a friend. She just quit her job...before he left her. (she was a truck driver) She has a son. (seven, I think) They lived with her father. (large house, he is ill and bought the house for them) Now the bills have come due, they have one less income and they just asked me if I would like to rent their spare room.

I currently live at a motel, been here for 18 months. I can save money and help them financially by moving in. (if I could I would just give her money to help her out) But I also work with her husband, soon to be Ex.

There is no romance or freaky stuff going on. I am 46 and she is 26, and I just can't go there. Wouldn't even if I could.

Over the past few weeks my friendship with him has disolved. (He borrowed money and did not pay back)

Do I move in and help her or do I decline because of the job situation?
