I remember it was around the late 70s or early 80s, and it was an action movie. There was a quarterback who just won a game and was celebrating at his home with a girl. He hopped in the shower & she went into the kitchen. The doorbell rang, she answered it and a couple cops told her there had been a chemical spill on the freeway and they were evacuating the homes in the area. She kept saying something about "Boomer" (or something like that) but they thought she was talking about a dog, not the man. When the star got out of the shower, she was gone, everything was quiet, but then he saw some guys in white contamination suits outside. Turns out they were robbing all the houses, or something like that (it's a little fuzzy). He uses his ingenuity and his football throwing skills to save the day. Someone help me remember the name and who was the star! Sounds like Nick Nolte, but it's not him!

She was heading off to a cruise. the junior sales clerk gets fired for offering opinions to the star, so the rich woman hires her as a companion for the cruise and they head off for adventure. There was beautiful dresses, big dance numbers, and I never found out the name. Can anyone help me? The rich woman was outspoken and brash, kind of like Mae West (but not her). Help!
