Help with a chemistry problem please!!?
Im not sure where to start with this, any help would be great!
If I am precipitating magnesium ammonium phosphate in the gravimetric analysis of phosphate, and phosphorus in a 2-g sample is about 10 percent, how many milliliters of ammonia solution must be added to give exactly enough precipitate? The ammonia solution has a concentration of 2 M. and the atomic mass of phosphorus is 30.97 g/mol.
1 AnswerChemistry1 year agoSalt sand gravimetric anaysis?
I think I have the right answer, but Im not sure. If i have a sand salt mixture and i perform gravimetric analysis, filter it, allow the solids to dry, and the mass of the solids are 3.0 g and the mass of the original mixture was 15.0 g, whatis the percentage of sand? The percentage of salt?
I got 0.20 for sand and 0 for salt, is this right?
