  • Geocities email being forwarded to Yahoo?

    I had a Geocities email address back in the 90's and when Yahoo bought it, the option was to link my Geocities address to the Yahoo ID. I did that.

    Then, Yahoo closed Geocities and I continued to get email thru Geocities (all spam) and I have looked high and low for a way to stop it.

    I contacted Yahoo and the boneheads at their tech support (who obviously don't understand English) keep telling me that I need to contact Geocities to have the email unforwarded. I keep telling them that Yahoo owns Geocities and then they point me here to Yahoo Answers - as if posting here is going to solve the problem that only Yahoo technical support can fix.

    So, I am posting here as a formality. Anyone have answers? How do I unforward emails from a defunct website that I have no access to?

  • Any Linux geeks out there?

    I have a computer with Linux (Fedora Core5) on it and I'm looking to automount a drive (FAT32) in the system. Here's the parameters.

    The directory is /dev/hda3

    The mount point is /mnt/data

    How do I do that in autofs and is there a good gui for autofs? I am stumped trying to configure this in command line or in the files.
