  • Long distance relationships: what does it take?

I'm writing a paper about making long distance relationships work. I, however, have not been in one and was wondering if any of y'all could maybe help me out by giving off pros and cons to it or tried and true methods to making it work?

Anything would be a huge help, thanks! (=

  • Geometry help... please!?

Find the measure of an angle such that the difference between the measures of its supplement and three times its complement is 10 degrees.

Alright. That's the original problem. I already know what the answer is because it's an odd number in the book and won't be graded, but I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to actually do this problem. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

  • Are visible tattoos okay at Wal-Mart?

I'm a cashier at Wal-Mart and was wanting to get a tattoo on my forearm. I was just wanting to know whether visible tattoos are okay as long as they're not vulgar or anything like that? I wouldn't want to get the tattoo just to get fired for it after.

  • Can you be fired for calling in due to a car accident?

On my way to work today, I got into a car accident. I wrenched my ribs, tearing the cartilage there which is extremely painful, plus I messed up the front end of my car. I've already reached the limit of days to call in before this, but I called in anyway because I didn't have a way in and was told that I needed to rest by the paramedics. I was just wondering if they could fire me for calling in due to a car accident?

  • English or Education?

I want to become an English teacher and was wondering whether it would be smarter to go for a degree in English and Creative Writing or just go ahead and get a degree in Education?

I go in to talk to my academic adviser tomorrow and just wanted to get a few opinions out there from some teachers that have already been through it and might have some solid suggestions.

    Anything would help. Thank you.

  • Is it possible for a rapist to later fall in love with one of his victims?

I'm writing something for class and wondered if it were possible(probable) that, after raping a girl, the rapist runs into her later, realizes who she is, and falls in love with her. Is that something plausible? Or are rapists too far gone for that sort of thing?...

  • How do you tell if you're using your data plan megabytes instead of regular wifi?

I just got an iPhone and I was wondering how you're able to tell if your phone hooks up to using your allotted megabytes you get when you set up your service? Like, I have 200 megabytes for mine, but... how can I even tell if my phone's using them or not? Is there a little symbol that'll appear where the WiFi one shows? I just really don't want to accidentally go over on my usage.

  • Black screen right on start up?

I have a Dell Inspiron 1526. When I turn it on, the screen remains black, the caps lock and scroll lock flash repeatedly while the number lock remains lit up. The fan runs, but no matter what keys I press, nothing happens. I even tried hooking up an external monitor and nothing happens.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • If I major in Imaging Sciences what should I minor in?

I'm planning on majoring in Imaging Sciences to become a radiological technologist. I'm now trying to decide whether I'm going to minor in something, and if so, what? What would be best to minor in with this major? I've heard that for each major, there are specific minors that you have to choose from. Is that true?

Any help on this would be great. [=

  • Recipe in Julie & Julia, the movie?

In the movie, Julie is talking with her hubby at the dinner table before she begins the blog, while they're talking about what she would even write about. They're eating what looks like bread in olive oil that's been warmed(?) in a skillet and then topped with peppers and veggies and what not. It looks absolutely delicious, and fattening, and I really want to try the recipe. Anybody have any clue as to what it's called or where it could be found? I'd appreciate it [=

  • Do you know what this book is...?

Okay, it was quite a while ago, in elementary... I don't remember much of it,

What I do remember is that it was about this young girl who always wanted to fly. Like she would start to jump down the stairs in the house and eventually does and has to go to the hospital, if I'm not mistaken.

It was a really good book and I loooved it but I cannot, for the life of me, remember what it was called. Nor anything further about it.

  • This is a question about a Toshiba laptop and warranty and what happens if I call them and what not... read on?

Alright, so I have a Toshiba laptop that I got less than a year ago. It is still under warranty. The screen has been messing up a lot lately, to the point that I've been putting my important files onto an external just in case, and today I was typing on the keyboard and my "j" and "k" keys popped off... for no reason. Confusing. I tried putting them back on but then I noticed that one of the connectors on each key is broken, so they can't go back on and stay. FRUSTRATING!

So, I was wondering if you knew if I were to call the customer service people and they were to tell me to trade this one in for a new one, would they have me take it to like, Best Buy and what not? And if so, I have Vista on this one so would the new one be Windows 7 or would they give me the exact laptop back, just a new one?

    Just wondering.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Who would be a historical figure that not a lot of people would know offhand who could've changed their fate?

It's for a paper and I keep thinking of people who other people would know or people who really couldn't have changed their fate.
