  • Canada cheated in Gold Cup?

With the all conspiracies and all the questionable calls I had apprehensive with Canada playing the US in the semi-finals... Would we be ripped off like other teams? well guess what.. we were....

Canada was clearly onside on their last goal that would tie Canada and the USA semi-final game and send the teams into overtime but the goal was waved off....

I wish I could say I was surprised but I'm not....I am disgusted...

    unbelievable...

  • Canada in the Gold Cup?

This is for Canadian Soccer Fans

Canada is in the semi-finals, when I started to watch Canada in the Gold Cup I was unsure on what to expect (cringe or cheer) but I have been really impressed with the Canadian National Soccer Team.

Did you expect them to advance this far? Are you impressed with their play? What are your predictions? Can the Canucks make it to the finals?

We are up against the US (and I was hoping we could put off that game until the finals....) But we were very impressive in our last two games and we look good (except that one central defender Andrew Hainault who Pat Onstad should punch hard every time Hainault steps aside and lets the opposing teams forward go one on one with Onstad)

After all no one saw Italy as the clear winners of the World Cup in the beginning but they pulled it off in the end.

  • Juventus Penalty Clarification?

Okay I am bewildered... when the penalties were handed out Juventus President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli stated: "This verdict is unheard of. We could have expected relegation to the second division but to be also handed a 30-point deduction is almost like relegation to the third division."

I just read their sentence was reduced to nine? Is that right? What was their official penalty in the end for their part in the match-fixing scandal?

Secondly do they deduct the points at the end of the season or did they before the season? Either way with the deduction penalty if Juventus has 59 points now in Serie B what is the actual points they have and what are there chances... could they be bumped to Serie C? Will they most likely remain in Serie B another year or could they make it to A (which is hard to believe if they were given the biggest penalty)???

  • Leverkusen's Rene Adler vrs Jörg Butt?

What do you think of Rene Adler performance playing goal for Leverkusen??

Do you think he should remain in goal after his great performances against FC Schalke and Stuttgart or do you think they should but Jörg Butt back in goal?

Who do you think they will put in net for tomorrow's game against Hamburger SV?
