if you drained both manual and automatic transmissions of oil and made sure both are 100 percent dry

would the auto trany move thr car?

would the manual move the car as well?

my assumption is that auto will never move since everything is working by oil pressure

while manual will actaully move the car forward

am i right?

i recieved my brand new 2013 camaro ss 6-speed manual less than month ago

been to the dealer for clutch clunks when engaging clutch in gear while wanting to shift

it's really loud and obvious

however they stated it's normal and other car in the lot behaved the same.....

now on cold starts i can't get it into 1st( i never applied pressure or forced it)

i can get 1st after going through 4th 3rd 2nd

however since day one i never checked any fluids

while looking at the clutch brake reservoir i can't indicate fluid capacity since it's not transparent

i loosen the cap while the car off and the fluid is past the full mark and i can see it through the filler neck

actaully it touches the cap itself...

i was paranoid about checking it out as i may let air in the system? did i ???

now i would like to get some of the fluid out

btw is the full mark for hot or cold fluid? i checked it while hot

now my main question? does overfilled fluid cause cold shifting problems?

my clutch doesn't seem to drag

i tried reving to 3-4k on hot engine while in first and clutch in and couldn't move an inch

can i simply suck fluid out using shampoo straw

car has only 1300kms ~ 600miles

does the car comes with ashtray & lighter??

my car is brand new and i just realised it has none of these things

i don't smoke but i don't like being ripped off

if you have picture of factory ashtray and lighter please post them

i believe the ashtray is removeable and it sits in the cup holder

so that was my shifter pattern

i am 98% positive that i shifted into reverse and my reverse sensors and backup camera started

i gave it gentle gas and released clutch slowly

gear knob started rattling and poped into neutral....

i probably either didn't engaged reverse all the way in

or gone into 5th

but i still believe i was in reverse as i believe reverse sensor and camera started

so can starting in very high gear pops the tranny into neutral??????

if starting in high gear could cause pop outs

i still believe i was in reverse releasing clutch was smooth... and i moved few inches not sure forward or backwards ;)

car is BRAND NEW 2013 camaro 2ss / rs package 6-speed with only 120 miles car is 1day old

other than these

i get clunk when releasing clutch in neutral

and clunk when pushing clutch while coasting in gear

clunks could be from clutch gearbox driveshaft differential

i have no feedback at all from clutch pedal

i've learned on a beater cable clutch 5-speed peugeot 405 - 1994

that car was so easy to drive despite high milage and pretty small engine. i recieve ton of feedback from the clutch pedal

any suggestions?

Does leaving it in neutral with clutch up warms it ?

Or it should be in gear and the car rolling in order to warm it up?

i am a bit confused

my friend has 2011 manual camaro and they call it smoke silver too which is much darker than that photo it could be ashen grey too

so i am not really sure what color my car would be

i liked my color the salesman showed me another car which isn't camaro on the showroom that he assumed it's gonna be the same color as my camaro

I amreally into buying this SUV but what scares me about it, is the clutch

how durable is the clutch, lot of complains about clutch life

i learned manual on 2 cars a mitsubishi lancer ~2001not sure about MY and peugeot 405 1994 with 300k kms

lancer obviously hydroulic clutch while peugeot os cable

i continued learning on peugeot and i couldn't complain about clutch pedal stiffness

while many others complained and were like you gonna have muscle problems later on , however both veichles are not available now

i gotta admit i have bad muscle memory remembering biting point location but i drive with minimum slippage...

is the wrangler a good car, i will not race, offroad, or abuse it at all probaby would be lugging the motor while breaking in or so.

my 5 old computer is running strong, was dusting the computer decided to add oil to the side fan on transparent cover it's 25cm i guess

as far as i know it's brushless motor, where the magnets spin not the shaft? am i correct???

so i removed and added wd40 and replaced the rubber cap not sure if it's leaking or no...

i know that wd40 is poor lubricant how long should i keep it until i can replace the oil without damage to the bearing? what will happen ? will it just dry out faster

i have Automatic transmission fluid and motor oil with heavy velocity 20w50 or so..

is it normal that it takes me to slip my car clutch longer to get rolling with ac on? i know that ac creates load on the engine but i think its too excessive..

i can't get my car to accelerate in 5th(top gear) on a slight short incline it's actaully loosing speed at 70kmh with gas pedal mashed to the floor i was aiming to reach 80kmh did this twice there is no power in 5th, i know 5th is overdrive gear but there is no torque...

the car drives and idles fine, can get it moving with clutch only on straight road

Which cars come with synchromesh on reverse

if a car came with synchronizer on reverse can you simply shift from 5th or 6th going 60mph to reverse and wheels would lockup????

does it allows you to sglhift into reverse while rolling forward or backward

i have only few days experience driving manual on peugeot 405 1994 it's 5spd i rolled backwards once while shifting to reverse and it grinds.... does that means it has no synchronizer or worn synchronizer on reverse gear

already did that for spilt second, i was reversing then shifted to neutral then decided to reverse even further and shifted to reverse while rolling it created nasty grinding sound without actaully engaging.. i know the fact that reverse has no synchro but does that applirs to all cars,
