  • Will you be watching TORCHWOOD: Children of Earth, Next Monday?

Finally a date for our diaries.

Monday 6th July 9.00pm BBC1, Look out for the trailer.

This is when Torchwood really grows up and comes into its own. The adult themes are far stronger and with the drama played out over 5 nights in the week there is much more time for characterisation, especially for Ianto.

Will they make it a soap ? I don't think so, but expect a classic Eastenders style shocker for Gwen in Monday's 1st episode.

  • OMG Dr. Who Breaking News. What do you think of the new companion ?

What do you think of the casting news that Karen Gillan is to be Matt Smith's new companion.

She is a 21 year old, Scottish red head who previously appeared as one of the sisterhood soothsayers in the Fires of Pompeii episode.

  • Patterson Joseph, Has there been any NEW press/media speculation today ?

    ...regarding Dr Who.

There has been a number of people betting on Patterson Joseph on the Betfair exchange today, shortening his odds even shorter than David Morrissey.

Usually such a move can be put down to a new tabloid/press rumour story but I haven't seen any papers today.

Has there been a story about him I've missed today ?

If it's not down to new media speculation, it could be BBC staff in the know getting their money on quicker than Blue Peter can name a cat.

It happens every time football managers are appointed.

  • Recurring themes in Doctor Who - Have you noticed...?

...that every single story of Series 4 has been about aliens trying to recreate themselves through humankind, either by ingestion or inhalation!

    ...and another thing,..these aliens...

...every single one of them...you see...they're all. ....Bald !!?!?!!

There's paralells which the end of the time war in the conclusions of Eps 2 & 5 and a more obscure similarity in the endings of Eps 1 & 3 points to someone's return, and it ain't just Rose.

Have you noticed any other recurring themes ?

    There seem to be others.

Something has happened in every episode (including tonight's) that could be a clue to the Doctor's song.

  • CATHERINE TATE is the NEW Dr Who companion !!!?

It's Official ! What are your opinions ?

Where were you when you heard the news ?!

From the BBC Dr Who site :

Catherine Tate is set to return to the TARDIS for the complete 13 week run of Series Four of Doctor Who.

Award winning comedian Tate will reprise her role as Donna, the runaway bride from last year's Christmas special, despite turning down the Doctor's invitation to travel with him at the end of that adventure.

When Catherine was asked if she would like to become The Doctor's new companion at the press screening of The Runaway Bride, she replied, "I would love to, but no one has asked!" Well, now they have.

"Catherine was an absolute star in The Runaway Bride and we are delighted that one of Britain's greatest talents has agreed to join us for the fourth series," announced Doctor Who's executive producer and head writer, Russell T Davies. "Viewers can expect more ambitious storylines and a whole host of guest stars in 2008."
