THANKSGIVING QUESTION:?
Taking a poll to settle a debate: do you cook Thanksgiving dinner because you really enjoy doing it, or because it is expected by others? Needless to say, this question is only for the cooks, not the ones who just eat. :)
7 AnswersPolls & Surveys3 years agoSlow Cooker Pineapple Chicken?
I am unable to find the recipe I had for slow cooker pineapple chicken. It was a simple recipe with relatively few ingredients - cubed chicken breast, canned pineapple chunks, snow pea pods, soy sauce, cannot remember other seasonings. Does anyone have a slow cooker recipe like this to share? Thank you!
3 AnswersCooking & Recipes7 years agoRanch Veggie Dip?
I used to make a wonderful dip for raw veggies, only three ingredients: Miracle Whip, milk, and a packet of Hidden Vallen Ranch original dressing mix. Haven't made it in years and have forgotten the amounts for the Miracle Whip & milk. Can anyone help? Thanks!
3 AnswersCooking & Recipes7 years agoHow to care for miniature tree?
I was given a potted cupressus elwoodii miniature tree as a Christmas gift, also known as Lawson false cypress. It came with no instructions at all, and any information I can find online only pertains to full-size trees grown in the outdoors. It's about 10" tall in a 4" pot. I would appreciate any information on caring for it, i.e. light, moisture, etc. I live in the Midwest, so planting it outdoors is not an option right now. Thanks for any help!!
7 AnswersGarden & Landscape7 years agoWhere to Donate Old Printer Cartridges?
Does anyone know where I could send used printer cartridges? I don't want to sell them, just donate them for environmental/charitable purposes. I live in a small town, and we don't have any businesses or organizations that collects them. They are Lexmark, if that matters. Thank you!
2 AnswersPrinters8 years agoHey, good cooks! Pumpkin Bars from Mix?
I have a box of Pillsbury Pumpkin Quick Bread Mix. I would like to use it to make pumpkin bars rather than a loaf. Is that possible? I know, of course, I would need a different pan, but wonder about adjusting ingredients (loaf is 1 cup water, 3 tablespoon oil, and 2 eggs) and adjusting the baking time (loaf is 375 for 40-50 minutes in a 9 x 5 loaf pan). Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
2 AnswersCooking & Recipes8 years agoYahoo Messenger status question?
I have my Yahoo Messenger open most of the day. I have one contact that confuses me - her status changes from online to offline many times a day, sometimes within minutes, sometimes longer. Is this something she is doing, manually signing on and off (for reasons I do not know) or is this happening as the result of something else she is doing online, i. e. email, Facebook, etc.? Just curious why this happens - thanks!
2 AnswersOther - Yahoo Messenger8 years agoAdvice on Buying a Pasta Machine?
I would like to buy a pasta machine as a Christmas gift, but don't know where to start as I don't have one myself or know anyone who does. I'd like to hear from people who do. Which is better, manual or electric? Are there some preferred makes or models? I've read some things that talk about importance as to where the machines are made and what material they are made from...true? What about attachments...are they included & which ones? Price is not a major factor, more than that I want to get a good one. Thanks for any advice you can give me!
2 AnswersCooking & Recipes9 years agoBBQ Sauce Sloppy Joes?
I recently overheard someone talking about making sloppy joes using barbecue sauce rather than the ketchup/mustard/brown sugar method. The were specifically talking about using Cookie's brand barbecue sauce, but I suppose any Kansas City style sweet sauce would work. Does anyone have a recipe like this? Thanks!
2 AnswersCooking & Recipes9 years agoBottled water for single-serve coffee maker?
I have a new Mr. Coffee single-serve coffee machine. The owner's manual says to use only bottled water in it. Can anyone tell me the reason for this, and what would happen if you use cold tap water? By the way, we have excellent city water where I live with no funny taste or smell. Thanks!

1 AnswerPrinters9 years agoHomemade vegetable beef soup recipe?
My mother used to make a wonderful homemade vegetable beef soup. Now she is gone and none of us remembers how she made the soup, which she made from memory and not a printed recipe. Here is what I remember was included: meaty beef soup bone of some sort that she simmered a long time in water, onion, potatoes, celery, carrots, tomatoes, cabbage, no seasonings except salt and pepper. Does anyone have a similar recipe? Please don't suggest cooking sites - I have already done a lot of that with no success. Thanks for any help!

2 AnswersFacebook9 years agoWhich symptoms of Parkinson's Disease does Mirapex help?
My friend recently was prescribed the drug Mirapex for his Parkinson's symptoms. Can anyone tell me which of the symptoms of Parkinson's he can expect this drug to address, for example fatigue, constipation, sleep problems, depression, soft speech, pain, impulsive behaviors, etc.? Would like to hear from those with personal experience with Mirapex/Parkinson's or those in the health care field. Thanks for any help.
1 AnswerOther - Diseases10 years agoTater Tot Casserole Please?

6 AnswersCooking & Recipes10 years agoHow to delete emails on plenty of fish?
I recently joined Plenty of Fish & am learning how to use it. When I want to delete a response, I have no problem deleting the actual message, but still have the person's ID and a small green dot at the top on the same line where it says "My Inbox." What does this indicate, and how do I get rid of it? Thanks!
1 AnswerOther - Computers10 years agoNON-mayo Deviled Eggs Recipe?
I'm looking for a recipe for deviled eggs like those my mother & grandmother used to make, no doubt has it roots in German-style cooking. They didn't use a written recipe, so I never had it in writing. Ingredients are hard-boiled eggs, salt & pepper, sugar, yellow mustard, vinegar, & milk or cream...nothing else, no other add-ins and definitely NO mayonnaise. Does anyone know this recipe & be able to tell me how much of each ingredient to use? I have tried experimenting with limited success. Thanks!
