  • Being claimed as a dependant?

Well, I lived with my mom for the entire year. I have a full time job and this year I made just over 15000... I am 19 years old (Turn 20 in may of 09 if that makes a difference) I live in Maryland. I am trying to figure out if my mom is still able to claim me on her taxes or not... So that I can go ahead and do my taxes for this year... Anyone know if she can claim me or not? I've been on hold with the IRS for the past hour and thirty mins... So maybe someone here will know.... Thanks!

  • I co-signed on a car and now..?

Okay so close to a year ago when my ex and I were still together, I co-signed on a car for him (yes I know, I made a huge mistake I don't need to hear that anymore) But for the past two months he has not been making payments on the car. He is now moving to Florida and taking the car with him. On the title I am the primary owner and he is the co-buyer (I had better credit then him at the time) I am sure he has no intentions of paying for it. The company who financed the car is really of no help to me. I was wondering if anyone knew the legal options I have or what I could do? Please help!

  • Question about my dog?

Well this may sound like a some-what ridiculous question...but I've always wondered about it. My dog is around 7yrs old and ever since he was about 2yrs old...He will grab his food from his food bowl, walk away to a different room with a few pieces in his mouth, set it down, eat it and go back to get some more...He will do the same routine over and over until he's done eating..

Its amusing to watch, but I've always wondered if there is a reason that he does this?

He's not worried about sharing food with another animal, he's the only one in the house...At least he shouldn't be worried about it...

Anyone have any ideas? I find it cute that he does it, so I'm not worried that there is something wrong with him, just curious about why he does it.

  • Tax Rebate?

I was just reading the article on why not to expect a tax rebate..

I've also figured out that I do not qualify for one, because my mom claimed me this year because I still live with her and because of how much I make..So I put on my taxes that I can be claimed as a dependant on her taxes.

I'm over the age of 17, so I believe that means that my mom cannot get a tax rebate for me...

So with that said, the article had no real answers on wether i would be able to get the rebate on my 2008 taxes...Does anyone know if this will be possible or should I just not count on getting anything?

Stupid question, I know..But i've already been to the IRS website and it's not very helpful with clearing it all up for me lol.

  • Getting a new car?

Well, I have a car, an 04 cavalier and its nice..but it doesn't really suit me.. I didn't have much of a choice in getting the car because it was my first car and my mother co signed on it for me so she wanted me to get something that was really the minimum I could afford.

I'm interested in getting a new car but still currently owe about 8k on the one I have. I looked at kelly blue book and it said the dealership should offer me a trade in value from 4k-7k.

I know with just about any other car i could get i'm going to be upside down for awhile...I have pretty good credit now..still a medium risk because I haven't had a very long credit history...but all of my bills get paid on time and usually in full credit card wise.

How bad off would I be to get a car for 17k and trade in mine for 4k at the least? I probably can't get a for sure answer but I figured I would ask. How much should I be willing to put down aswell? Thanks

  • Ideas for good summer hair cuts?

I'm looking for a decent hair cut to get for the summer, my hair is just too plain now and I can't find anything I really like.

I'm looking for something thats just a tad above the shoulder...Not way too short. I'm also not a very girly girl so nothing too girly? lol...

I look at pictures in magazines and movies and like stuff thats edgy and the bangs are razor'd to one side..

All in all my question is do you have any suggestions/pictures to what a good summer hair cut would look like?

    Thanks :)

  • Migraine Problems?

For the past couple of weeks, about 1-2 days out of each week I get severe migraines...Which i've never had any real trouble with until a few weeks ago. I take tylenol, or advil...and the pain is still there.

My head is pounding when it happens, and it gets to the point where I get sick. I'm not sure why its happening, and i'm not doing anything out of my normal routine that I can think of that is causing this to happen.

I'm 18, work two jobs...So part of me thinks its the stress of working all the time, but i'm really not sure. I've made an appointment with the doctor for today, but the one i'm seeing isn't my primary doctor (he isn't in today) So the one I am going to see isn't very helpful when it comes to figuring out things.

    Suggestions?
