  • Could it be a growth spurt or something more?

My baby girl is 4 1/2 months old. She has CF so she sometimes has gas problems, but she's on acid reflux medicine which usually keeps it under control. Starting around noon yesterday, she has been really cranky. We thought maybe she had gas, we gave her gas drops but it didn't seem to help her too much. She slept much more than usual during the day yesterday, and then seemed to have trouble sleeping last night. She acted tired, like she wanted to sleep but something kept waking her up. I'm just wondering if maybe it's a growth spurt, maybe just a bad tummy ache, or maybe teething?! This is my first so everything is totally new to me. My main concern is finding something that I can give her to help her feel better. The gas drops didn't seem to help, I've never used Tylenol or Gripe Water with her, but if it will help her I'm more that willing to try it. I just want her to feel better, and I wouldn't mind getting a little sleep either! Lol.

  • how do I know if I'm leaking amniotic fluid?

I'm currently 37+5 weeks. I went in yesterday for a checkup and when they did my ultrasound they said that the amniotic fluid is 'low/normal' meaning it is lower than it should be but it's not dangerously low. They put me on bedrest from it. I have had discharge throughout the entire pregnancy, and it has been increasing in volume the further along I get. But tonight it some of it seems to be a little different I think. It seems to be a little more of a white color and thinner than usual. I am supposed to be on the lookout for leaking fluid since mine is low, so I'm not sure how I am supposed to be able to tell the difference.

  • Tissue in urine at 34 weeks?

White tissue in urine during 24 hour urine test?

I am currently 34+2 weeks pregnant with my first. I have been having some swelling issues since about 27 weeks and here of late it has gotten much worse. I went in to the doctor Friday to be seen for it and my blood pressure was a little high when they checked me in but my protein in my urine was negative. They sent me home and told me to do a 24 hour urine test today and come in Monday morning for some blood work and they will let me know Tuesday if I have preeclampsia or not. The last several times I have peed I have noticed some white tissue stuff in my urine, what could this be? It isn't toilet paper and i don't think it's discharge either.

  • sharp pains at 32 weeks?

I am currently almost 32 weeks along with my first and for the last several days I have been having a few new pains. I figure it's probably just normal aches and what not, I'm going back to the doctor Tuesday and plan to bring it up then but wanted to be sure it's not anything I should call about before then. I have some sharp pains in my boobs here and there which I assume is just from all that's going on in there and is normal, it only lasts for a second. Also I have pains in my lower belly that go down further towards my groin area, they don't last but a few seconds, they happen several times for about 15 minutes or so and then they'll go away for a while. And I also have like a pressure feeling in my groin whenever I switch positions, like go from sitting for a while to standing or when i get out of bed. Like I said this is my first so everything is all new to me and I tend to be a paranoid person as it is so any information would be appreciated!

  • pain/tenderness in stomach at 28 weeks?

I am 28 weeks along with my first. As of several days ago, I have been getting a sensation just slightly above and to the right of my belly button. I wouldn't so much call it a pain, it's more of a tenderness really, kinda like when you touch a bruise. I was just wondering if this was normal.

  • do you and your partner have to carry the same mutation of cf?

I am currently 18 weeks pregnant with my first child. Last week we found out that me and my husband are both carriers of the cystic fibrosis gene. However, we carry two different mutations of the gene. Does this still give the baby the 25% chance of cystic fibrosis or does it have to be the same gene mutation of it for the baby to get it?

  • when is the normal time to get your first ultrasound?

I am 10 weeks pregnant with my first. So far, I've only been to the doctor once, right after I got my positive HPT. All we did is confirm that I was pregnant and check mine and my husbands family history's for risk factors. I go back on the 19th for my first actual prenatal appointment. As far as I know, they aren't planning to do an ultrasound or even a doppler. I keep seeing my other friends that are pregnant have ultrasound pictures from 8 or 9 weeks pregnant and I don't even know when I am supposed to get my first one. I was wondering if this was normal?

  • At how many weeks do you stop laying on your back?

I have been told that at some point during the pregnancy you're not supposed to lay on your back anymore because it constricts the blood, but I don't know when does this start?! I am currently 9 weeks.

  • How did you calm the paranoia?

I am now 9 weeks and 2 days pregnant with my first. To be fair, I have anxiety and paranoia problems, I have been on medication in the past for it. I am totally freaked out by everything I do, afraid that I'm going to have a miscarriage or there will be something wrong with my baby. I work at a chemical plant, but they are aware that I am pregnant and I'm staying away from all the things that I'm supposed to, I quit smoking as soon as I found out and my doctor found no risk factors in my pregnancy. Yet I can't seem to get rid of the fear of miscarriage, I was just wondering if anyone else experienced this and if so how did you help to calm it?
