She sells Bichons and she just had a litter one week ago. She is a member of the Canadian Kennel Club and today she told me to give her a $100 deposit. Is this normal? Also the Bichons will be worth $700, should a Bichon from a reputable breeder be worth more? I never bought a dog from a breeder before (other dog is from a shelter) and I want to know if the breeder is reputable or just another BYB. Thank you for the answers.

I looked up a breeder on the CKC website and one of the breeders just had puppies and she says that she will be selling them for $700. Is this too low for a Bichon Frise from a reputable breeder? She also told me to give her a deposit as soon as possible, is this normal too? I've never owned a dog before and I want to know if she actually is reputable or not.

I want to get a dog ( a Bichon Frise to be more specific) and I checked online for answers and a lot of them say 'go to the Canadian Kennel Club website' so I did and I couldn't find a Bichon breeder, in fact most of the puppies were born months ago (and I want a 2-3 month old puppy). So does anyone know where I could get a bichon from a reputable breeder? I do not want to get a dog from the shelter right now so please don't suggest the idea. Thanks.

I saw a moth at my house and I am terrified of moths so i got a sandal and threw it on the moth (it was on a chair) and it was paralyzed for a bit. After I hit it again and it fell off the chair and I hit it with the sandal 10 times, but surprisingly it was still alive, and it was moving it's wings but not flying, is this normal? And after that I put on the sandal (I'm 150 pounds) and I stepped on it until it died, and I stepped on it 15 times. Are moths supposed to be this strong? I live in southern Canada near the border to America in BC.

I'm getting a dog and I want to be dominant to the dog (I will do this by eating before him, walking with him behind/beside me, etc) but I'm scared that it could be dangerous. I'm getting this American Pit Bull Terrier from the animal shelter and I'm scared that it might challenge me for dominance or even worse, my family members. Is it dangerous to be dominant? Ever since I was little I wanted an Irish Water Spaniel, but I couldn't find a breeder for years and I still can't find one, so I decided to get another medium to big sized water dog, the Poodle (standard sized). But I kind of changed my Poodle a bit, see I gave it hair like the Irish Water Spaniel and I maintain it by cutting the tail hair off every week (without harming the tail itself) and by giving her a full haircut every month (just to keep the hair good sized). This way I have the temperament of the Poodle and the appearance of a black Irish Water Spaniel. Is what I'm doing wrong? Should I stop doing it?

I hear a lot of good and bad things about mutts. I'll hear people say that mutts are really healthy and easy to train, yet I also hear that they're unhealthy because of bad breeding and unpredictable. So I want to know which one is right. Are they good, or bad? Thanks

About 5 or 6 hours ago I was along and I heard a door open, so I checked the front and back door. The back door was locked and the front was unlocked because I forgot to lock it. I locked right after though but I am still scared. My parents and my two brothers are here now, but now I am scared that the murderer will get them too! It is almost 11 pm and I am scared! Should I check my house if a murderer is hiding in it? Or should I leave it? I am scared that the murderer is hiding so he/she could kill me and my family in our sleep! Help!
