My friends PC reboots while loading icons. It loads in safe mode ok but not in normal. I've tried restoring etc.

Its XP and he is by not stretch of the imagination a computer buff so anything could have happened.

Any ideas gratefully received.

For reasons that I wont go into I need somewhere to eat out that doesn't use gas. The Leicestershire area or East Midlands would be great.

My kids have managed to really mess up their PC.

XP comes up with the options last good configuration etc

No matter what option you take (including starting in the various safe modes and starting from XP disc) it starts to load and then just restarts.

I've tried everything but can't make it work.

Any suggestions very gratefully received.

I don't want to have to reformat and lose various pictures etc if I can possibly avoid it.

I'm reasonably computer literate and build systems but this has me stumped.

i have 2 computers. One with XP pro (all service packs) and one with XP media editions (also with all service packs).

I have managed to install it eventually on the XP pro but no matter what I try it won't on media edition.

It's driving me mad.

Any ideas welcome.

I have tried......

Using install disc.

using new hardware wizard.

Installing drivers from disc.

Uninstall then reinstall using hardware manager.

using updated driver from epson site.

Is it just me but sometimes when you have a melon from a supermarket it smells of nail varnish remover and tastes a little of it too?

last week I broke my wrist ( the scaphoid) and it will be in a cast for 5 weeks or so.

I was wondering if there is any exercise or similar I can do with the fingers on that hand etc.

Even opening a packet of sweets hurts like hell.

I have an Orange cake recipe that requires the grated zest and juice of an orange and 10 drops of orange oil. Typically I only have orange blossom water. Can I substitute this, or are the flavours too different. Advice please.

My son has just bought PES 2008 and is using it online on the PS2.

There seems to be some deliberate lagging going on.

Any idea how to spot this and combat this.

It seems that the play suspends the names over the player goes red and then all of a sudden the balls in the net.

Does anyone know where I can get a set of badges for a LML Stella? Its imported by Genuine Scooters in the USA.

In the UK its sold as a LML Star.

Basically the Stella badges look better that the Star ones.

I successfully access the internet wirelessly with 2 PCs and a laptop.

I would like to use the same wireless adaptors to set up a network to share files, share printer etc.

Is it possible to do both at the same time?
