Oxygen Sensor removal on '97 Corolla?
I am trying to remove the oxygen sensor on a 1997 Corolla (the sensor in front of the catalytic converter). The sensor has a sort of plunger half way up the wire, which goes into a metal housing (to provide protection from the elements, I assume). The quick connect is inside that metal housing, and I'm not sure how to access that to disconnect the wire. Anyone have any guidance on that? Do I have to remove a panel underneath the car?
2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs7 years agoShould I contact my brother?
2 years before I was born (in the 1960s), my mom had a child out of wedlock and (sort of) gave him up for adoption. She didn't go through an agency, she moved in with a couple, and the wife padded herself to match my mom every day. Then, my mom signed into the hospital as that woman, and filled out the birth certificate with her name instead of my mom's.
I just found out about this a few years ago, and my mom was very reluctant to share information. Slowly I found out where he was born and what they named him, and I got the birth certificate. I recognized my mom's handwriting on the mother's signature line. I paid for an online search using the information I had about him, and I think I found him. My mom doesn't know this, and she told me that she promised never to try to contact him. But, I didn't promise anything (I wasn't alive yet). So, should I contact this guy who may not even know he's adopted? It kills me that I have a brother out there (technically a half-brother) and I've never met him and know nothing about him. But, I don't want to mess up his relationship with his "adopted" parents, or weird him out either. I'm curious what others think about this.
4 AnswersFamily1 decade agoHow do I set double-click to open a folder, rather than search a folder, in Windows XP Home Edition?
Recently, double-clicking on a folder icon no longer opens the folder, it opens a search screen for the folder instead. How can I restore this setting, so that the folder opens? "open" is already set as the default for the Folder file type, so I'm not sure what to do.

Somehow, it seems to have been deleted. When I look in Folder Options - File Types, the only option that appears for "File Folder" is "find". I think I need to add "open" but it asks for the "application used to perform action." I don't know what that is.
