I work at State Farm Insurance. I know a lot about the military, I myself was never in, and I am a author of military fiction. I prowl around the military section to be active in the military community and learn more about it. I use google and many other search engines, including recruiters, websites, and etc. So if you don't think google works, check out the first link. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AqrCw6IiljOvPBLEbReQ0Mfty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20110428075643AARNXZP it shows what google can do. I didn't join the military because I see many homeless vets around where I live, I don't want to be homeless and so I am trying to make a plan to keep making money without losing my house. When answering questions, I tend to use common sense when answering questions. "Do you know what a Squid is? It's a multi-legged aquatic animal that swims at the bottom of the ocean and shits on all the Marine life" - One sailor's response to me calling him a Squid.

When they raided their house they found a German Uniform, it was Otto's when he served in WW1.

If Otto had reported himself, would his family have been spared?

If Otto had joined the German in the WW2 fighting, would his family have been spared?

  • A couple of questions regarding Army?

Hi, most of you on here know that my cousin is currently in AIT (Army 35F).

Anyways, last night he called me and we talked about everything going on (he did not violate OPSEC, when I asked what he was learning he said, "secrets" LOL), but one thing he did say was: he hasn't been eating because the Army takes out 5 bucks from he check every time he swipes his card at the chow hall, and he has no money in the bank because the Army messed up his pay. My entire family was military and this is not the first time the Army has screwed my family over (my dad's pay was screwed up nearly his entire time in the Army {some of it was his fault}, and also the Navy screwed up my uncle's check). So my questions are: does that Army have the right to take out money from his check to pay for chow, can my cousin talk to his AIT instructor? Also he mentioned he didn't have a career counselor, how can he get one.

  • Fired for attending college?

My former Marine recruiter got a job as a car salesman 10pm-8pm. He signed up for college to finish his degree from 5pm-8pm after serving 8 years he decided to finish it. So he was fired because the manager told him to choose. Isn't there some kind of law against this?

  • About the Military's Special Operators?

I understand that it takes over a year of non-stop training to become a Special Operator for any branch of the military. I also understand it takes a certain kind of workout to get in shape for the schools (BUD/S is one example), and also another certain kind of workout to get in shape for Recruit Training (RTC, MCRD, BCT, BMT).

Let's use the Navy SEALs for example.

Recruit Joe (SO rating) goes to bootcamp in the best shape of his life, he passes the PST without any struggle and has much time left to spare. He gets to RTC and passes with ease, however due to the different types of PT, would Recruit Joe lose the strength necessary to complete BUD/S and the SEAL PREP Course? Is this why most special operators DOR after Bootcamp?

  • Can Obama's budget speech be compared to Kennedy's inauguration speech?

Both speeches were important, they addressed the worst issues at hand and prevented our country from going from where it is now, to going even lower.

When Kennedy was elected, the military was shaping up from the mean war fighting machine it was in WW2, into this politically correct monster we have now. The budget for the military was quite low, Kennedy made it his promise to get the country back on track.

We all know what Obama said about maybe three weeks ago.

Anyways, did history repeat itself and is Obama going to end up like Kennedy?

  • What do you guys think about Petraeus becoming DCI?

Obama ousted McCrystal, a fine military commander, to use Prtrraeus; now the Gen. is becoming DCI (a position that CIA personnel have been competing for years now) and the current DCI is becoming SECDEF. How will this affect the intel community and who will replace Petraeus?

  • Why do people hate the military and think they are pacifists?

Everywhere I go I hear stupid b1tches saying they hate and despise the military.

Doesn't anyone know what they have done to protect us and support our way of life?

On Sean Hannity today, a girl said she doesn't support violence, but she admitted she would torture someone if they had her daughgters. Why do people lie and say they are pacifists but they KNOW they would do whatever they need to do.

Also those who say our military is committing war crimes, do they forget the beheading videos?

Next people say Iraq and AFG was not justified, I view this as a crock of cock, we went to IRQ because we were helping a nation obtain their freedom. We went to AFG to rid of Al-Qaida, b/c they destroyed the twin towers and most of the pentagon, I was 9 years old when this happened, I will never forget. I compare this to Pearl Harbor, this war is justified and is not about oil.

If I am wrong and do not see the mission, someone, preferabbly vets, correct me.

  • When writing a story, how to not lose interest?

I love to write, but somehow one way or another, I lose interest and forget about it. It's been going on for four years now so I thought I would begin writing a rought draft. Well, I've gotten farther than I have ever been, (Chapter 5, Yeah big whoop I know) but I lose interest in my story. I just want to finish the rough draft so I can look at it and see why the h3ll I am losing interest.

So what are the tips to avoid this, (I don't have writer's block.)

  • My Views on the Gov. Budget.?

    1. Cut the cord on the F35- Joint Strike Fighter.

    - Why: Because we just integrated the F/A 18 Super Hornet and the F-22 Raptor. The average cost per plane is $110,000,000. Now add the cost of training a fighter pilot.

    2. Combine all military uniforms into one.

    - Why: We have five different branches in our military. In current combat zones we have multi-service personnel at each base. Why are USAF Airmen wearing a different camoflauge while on an Army base with Soldiers wearing ACUs. This is a waste of money and all of the branches should combine uniforms into three versions: Desert, Woodland, and Snow. The USMC has done a great job so far.

"Projected annual cost increases are $24.2M (Fiscal year 2004—FY04); $31.7M (FY05); $142.4M (FY06); and $143-144M (FY07-08). No additional funds are needed for FY05, and the Army is currently addressing the outyear funding through its resource planning process.

The $88 cost of the new uniform jacket and pants (a $34 increase cost of manufacturing over the current BDU) is expected to be is clearly offset..."

    - I do not support the Army's decision for deployed soldiers to wear Multi-cam. It is a waste of money, a uniform will not effect the soldier's job. Our soldiers were doing fine wearing the old DCUs.

    3. Suspend Recruitment for One Year

    - Why: Suspended Boot Camps and AIT for one year will give the military more money to training the Afghanistan National Guard. This will expedite our withdraw from the area of operations.

    4. We should increase taxes for one year, lower spending, and stop bailing out companies.

    - Why: These government bailouts take away money from the public and those who need it most. Why not try bailing out homeless shelters or the projects.

    5. Limit the numbers of CEOs.

    - In 2010 the ratio of CEOs to employees was 23:1. A CEO salary was more than tenfold that of an employee.

  • Marine Corps Military Police vs Army Military Police?

Which one serves more as a police officer? I know a national guardsman who is an MP and he says they do more convoy escorts and combat patrols? Just wondering who would be more like a civilian police officer. I've seen a youtube video about a USMC MP ride-along, looks just like an Army MP and a civilian officer. Can anyone help me with this?
