Any free homeschools in Georgia?
I need a (preferably) free homeschool, online or not. I know about Connections Academy and the Georgia Cyber Academy, but those are currently full.
1 AnswerHome Schooling5 years agoBest way to travel after high school?
I plan to take about a year or more off after high school to road trip across America. Since I obviously don t have much money, what s the best way to go about it? Would it be smart to work several jobs during my traveling to earn money on the way? Do you have any tips, especially when it comes to money?

3 AnswersHigher Education (University +)6 years agoAny good books set in France?
I'm looking for books that take place in current times (I've already found a ton that take place in the past), and I'd prefer Paris. Anywhere in France would be fine, though.
Also, I know this doesn't have much to do with my other question, but if you know of any good books about someone moving from America to another country (or someone traveling the world), please share. I'd like the book to be set in current times (not interested in any that take place a long time ago).
3 AnswersBooks & Authors6 years agoCan my parakeets eat this?
I've heard that parakeets love raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries, so I mashed up a few together to give it to them. I'm pretty sure it's safe, but I want to double check.
3 AnswersBirds6 years agoMy budgie is acting a little odd. Any ideas?
Three days ago, my parents picked up a young budgie from the pet store as a companion for my other bird, whose mate passed away.
The new budgie, Dott, is incredibly sweet, and immediately wanted attention from me. She's really young, can't be more than few months old. However, I noticed that while she's out, she snuggles into anything soft. It's adorable, but that's how she sleeps. My other budgies have only ever slept standing up. I gave Dott and small wash clothe to sleep on since she was trying to sleep on me, and she snuggled right into and started sleeping. Is she doing this because she's young?
3 AnswersBirds7 years agoMy parakeet is acting odd. Any ideas?
I got a new budgie a couple of days a ago as a companion for my other bird. She's so sweet, I don't even have to to tame her! It's the second day and she'd already right at home. However, whenever she's out, she's constantly trying to get to my other bird's cage (I have them separate for now). Now that she's heard other birds outside, she's constantly trying to get to the window! Does she just not like being apart from other birds? I can't let her see my other one yet because I don't want her to be sick and pass it on to my bird.

3 AnswersTheater & Acting7 years agoMy male budgie passed away. What should I do now?
I had two budgies, one male (Kiwi) and one female (Kiki). After looking up bird illness signs, I realized that Kiwi had a lot of them. I told my mom, and while she felt bad, she didn't mention taking him to the vet. I didn't want to push taking him until I knew he was probably sick, because I know she's hurting for money right now.
The next day, he seemed the same, so while we were out, I asked her to take him. She said she'd call some. But when we got home, he was dead at the bottom of his cage. I feel like a terrible owner, and I don't want to make the same mistake with my other bird, Kiki. I know my mom won't take her to the vet unless she really knows she's sick.
She's been acting normal. Eating, drinking. She often puffs up, but she's done that since I got her. She goes to the bottom of the cage, but only to eat any fallen seeds.
Does she sound sick to you?
I feel bad that she's all alone, so eventually I will buy her someone. How soon should I do this? My mom wants to get one today, and Kiwi died only two days ago. I feel like a jerk, getting someone else, but I can't leave her alone (I'm too busy to spend a lot of time with her right now).
1 AnswerBirds7 years agoWhat are some good Instagram themes?
I run an account called @insta.themes where I post different themes for however long. I've done two so far; Life Hacks and Hair posts.
I'd prefer if the theme was Disney, animal, or fashion related.
2 AnswersOther - Internet7 years agoFemale parakeet names?
What should I name my female parakeet? She's a soft yellow color with gray spots on her back and wings (her coloring is like a cockatiel's). I want unique, pretty names such as Ratity, or Serenity. Also, Disney-related names are always welcome. Lily was an option as well (Lillian was Walt Disney's wife; I shortened her name). Also, my other bird is a male, and I THINK my brother named him Leonard, but I'm not sure I was thinking of Penny (The Big Bang Theory), but I don't really care for it. :/
2 AnswersBirds7 years agoHow to help my fancy parakeet?
I've recently gotten two parakeets, one male, one assumed female (they're both young, so we won't be sure until they're taken to the vet). I know you're not supposed to even attempt to touch them for a few days so that they can get settled in. The problem is that the female tried going to the bathroom, but it's stuck to her and won't fall off. It's starting to dry, and I don't know if I should leave it or attempt to help her? I've only had them for a day, so I don't really want to startle either of them.
Also, I had another question. Do parakeets get mean once they start to mate? My dad used to have birds when he was little, and when they started mating, they got really mean. Note that I'm not sure which type of birds, but I figured I'd ask.
And if you guys have anymore tips you'd like to share, please do so! I've been reading a lot about them, but any tips are always welcome~!

What is logical explanation for why we die? To me, death is weird.
Also, don't say any BS like "Because God decided it's our time." I'm looking for a LOGICAL explanation.

3 AnswersHomework Help7 years agoShould I choose to be homeschooled or go to regular school?
So I recently moved from Hawaii to California, and since school was starting, my parents decided to put me and my brother on homeschool until everything was settled. After Christmas break, my brother's going to regular school since his school is apparently really good, but he's still in elementary school.
I'm middle school, and apparently, the bullying is pretty bad at the school I'd go to. I want to go to school and make friends, since I have none right now because I moved. But I don't wanna go to a bad school either.
So, suggestions? My mom's giving me a choice of homeschool or regular school, and I need to decide in a couple of days.
9 AnswersHome Schooling7 years agoWhat can I do for my dog?
My grandma has two dogs; a Chihuahua and a Pekingese. The dogs are kept in the kitchen ALL the time. They're rarely let in the rest of the house. I wouldn't have such a problem with it, if they were taken good care of.
My mom, me, and my brother lived with my grandma for most of the time I was in elementary school (now I'm in middle school). My aunt, who still lived with my grandma at the time, brought home Bella, a little Chihuahua puppy. I adored her, and I spent almost all of my time with her. At the time, she was allowed to roam the entire house while Gizmo (Pekingese) and Lola (a mutt) were kept in the kitchen. I was always outside with the dogs, so they always got exercise.
One day, Lola, who was a huge dog, attacked Gizmo because he was annoying her. I loved her, and it broke my heart to see my grandparents give her to a close friend of theirs. Once I left to visit my stepdad in Hawaii, Bella was put in the kitchen since Lola wasn't there anymore. When I got back, she was fat.
The dogs are not taken care of when I'm not there. Both need to be groomed, they need better, high quality food, exercise, and, most of all, attention.
Now I live about two hours away, so I can't be there as often as I want to. Both are overweight and poor Gizmo probably has some health problems. Does my grandma care? No. I've explained to her that they could die young (Bella's around 4 or 5 now) without good food and exercise, but she excuses it by saying that she lets them in the backyard. First of all, the only thing they do out there (unless some plays with them, which no one does) is sniff around, go to the bathroom, then beg to be let in so they can eat and sleep.
My grandma either gets mad or excuses it whenever I or my mom tries to say they're not taken care of. I don't know what to do. I want to make sure that my dog (she's more mine than anyone else's) is happy and healthy when I'm not around.

1 AnswerDogs8 years agoWhat can I do when my parents fight?
My parents fight. A lot. According to my mom, my dad (well, stepdad, but I love him all the same) can't do anything right. She'll find the littlest or most ridiculous thing and blow up on him. For example, my dad thought it'd be nice to put my brother's bedding in the washer for her, but she freaked out because she had another load and he didn't know.
And whenever he tries to punish me or my brother when she's mad at him (we aren't really his, but he's been raising us for a few years now), she yells at him and tells him not to yell at her kids. And to be honest, we (especially my brother) NEED to be punished sometimes.
Tonight, my mom wanted to go to a store, but my little sister was being horrible and my dad didn't want to go 'cause he was at work all day and night (he had duty or something), but we still went out. When we got there, my sister was two times worse, so my mom just said to forget it and to go home, but everyone knew she would be in a bad mood. My dad was trying to be nice and said he would deal with her and she could shop, but she said to go home. So he repeated himself, and she turned it into a fight. Now she's saying she doesn't want to be with him and she's taking me and my siblings to my grandma's house. I already told her I'm not going, but all she says is I have no choice.
I love her, but sometimes I think she needs to stop being so ridiculous. She needs to learn how to control her anger issues.
2 AnswersFriends8 years agoIs Animal Farm a good book for a 13 year old girl to read?
When I was looking for a good book to read on Barnes and Noble, I came across Animal Farm. From what I've heard, it's a really good book, and I love animal-themed books, especially books that have to do with animal rights (that's what my friend told me it's about).
So, it a good book? Is it wroth reading?
11 AnswersBooks & Authors8 years agoHow do dogs react to favoritism?
My friend's mom has two dogs; a Pekingese (Jake) and a Chihuahua (Daisy). But she clearly favors Daisy over Jake. For example, both dogs know that when she opens a certain cabinet, that means they're getting a treat, so, naturally, both dogs run over. Jake gets all excited, thinking he's going to get a treat, and she only gives Daisy one. She doesn't always do this, but she does sometimes. Another example would be when she plays with them. Sometimes, she completely ignores Jake.
So, how do dogs react to favoritism? And how does it affect them.
