  • Why do some blind people dye their hair, get piercings, and get tattoos when they cannot see them?

I don't mean to be rude, but I'm honestly curious about this.

  • Book about two God-siblings in a war? A prophecy?

I faintly remember reading a book when I was ten-eleven that had a plot somewhat like this:

The main character 'dreams' about a world, and is eventually led into it by a guide of sorts. There are two siblings that are fighting, and they are something like Greek/Roman gods (but they weren't). There is also a prophecy that speaks about a betrayer. Overall, there are seven or so 'heroes' (including the main character) that have to go on quests in order to save the world. It was a bit like Percy Jackson, now that I think about it. One of their quests was that they had to walk through a dark "maze" (not sure what it was exactly), and they kept hearing screams and a few of them got lost along the way. The entrance to the world was in an old tree that the main character had never really noticed before.

That's about all I can remember. Please help, because this is bothering me so bad!

  • Names for three siblings (boy-girl twin and younger girl)?

I need a name for three siblings: a pair of boy-girl twins and their younger sister.

I prefer old-fashioned names with perhaps an obvious nickname.

  • Baby names for boy-girl-boy triplets?

I am in love with the name "Athena" for the girl, but I am having trouble finding appropriate middle names for her. I would love to keep to the same theme for the boys (either mythology or A-starting names). Maybe Perseus for one of the boys?

  • Looking for names for boy-boy-girl triplets?

I am currently writing a story and I need names for a group of triplets (2 boys and a girl). I haven't decided on their middle names either, but their surname will be either Peverell or something close to it. I want to kind of stay within the mythology/mythical type of names, but anything that sounds sort of ancient or unusual would work well too. All of them will have dark brown/black hair, and their eyes will either be a silvery-blue color or a violet-blue color.

  • What should I name these septuplets? (5 girls, 2 boys)?

Septuplets are seven children that are birthed by the same mother at the same time. I am currently think about writing a story about a group of such children, but I am a bit stuck on the names. I want two of them to be boys, and the rest girls. I would like some sort of resemblance to the names (same meaning or sound) but I prefer for them not to rhyme and for them not all to have the same first letter. Their last name will be Evans, and though they are siblings, they will be a bit different. Here are the basic personalities, but they are flexible at this point:

Girl 1: Very childish, likes to exaggerate, gets excited easily

Girl 2: Sensible, reads a lot, excels in academics

Boy 1: Very angry, gets upset easily, doesn't like rules

Girl 3: Musical and artistic, prefers solitude over anything else

Boy 2: Shy and really quiet, kind of melts into the background

Girl 4: Opinionated, a bit bossy, likes to debate loudly

Girl 5: Sporty, loves being outside, definitely a tomboy

Another thing that I forgot to mention is that they will all be 13. Of course, the story will begin at their birth and gloss over their childhood (mainly to highlight their differences and similarities) but it will mainly focus on when they are 13. I have not decided on what they will look like yet, but I am thinking dark hair and maybe green/blue eyes.

  • I need a name for a pair of girl/boy twins in my story?

I am writing a novel about a pair of girl/boy twins that were born in the 1700's and stopped aging when they turned 18. The setting is located in modern day America (mostly in the North, though they do travel frequently throughout the story). Both twins have black hair (the girl's to her waist, and the boy's to his shoulders) and silver-blue eyes.

For the girl, I would prefer a name that reflects her personality. She is bold, unafraid to speak her mind (despite it might hurting or offending others), and is very sarcastic. She isn't bitter, but she has a lot of anger that stems from her childhood. She frequently picks fights with her brother, but despite this, at the end of the day, she would trade her life for his.

The boy is almost the opposite of the girl. He is apathetic to everything that doesn't directly affect him or his sister. He lacks the ability to feel compassion for anybody but his sister. In this way, I guess you can say he is a bit of a sociopath. However, he feels a strong, familial love for his sister, and would do anything to make her happy.

The names don't have to match, but I would love if they flow nicely together. I absolutely despise using the same letter for both names, so please refrain from giving those suggestions. I want something uncommon, but also realistic.

    Thanks!

  • What are some virtual worlds, no download/install, for teens?

Please do not name a website like "Facebook". I need a few games that are addicting, since I can never stick to a game. I'd like to be able to create my own character, and dress it up.

  • What are some good breakup songs?

I recently got out of a relationship, and it hurts, a lot. We'd been together for about three years, and he dumped me for this other girl.

Anyways, what are some good breakup songs. I want ones that aren't too heartbroken, and are a little bit angry. I live in America, so English songs would be helpful. Here are some of the artists I listen to, just to give you an idea of my style of music:

    Kelly Clarkson,

    P!nk,

    Taylor Swift,

    Rihanna,

    Katy Perry,

    He Is We,

    Adele,

    Avril Lavigne,

    Demi Lovato,

    Jordin Sparks,

    Miley Cyrus,

    The Band Perry,

    Plain White Tees,

    Nicki Minaj,

    Carly Rae Jepson,

    Train,

    One Direction,

    B.O.B

    Gym Class Heroes

There are some of them. If you have any suggestions that are in that category, or is by that artist, please answer. Thanks!

  • What are some emo names for girls 15+?

I am doing a story, and the emo girl is the main character's dream girl. Here is a scene describing how she looks, and what her personality is:

The girl had short black hair, only coming to her shoulders. The tips of her hair were dark blue, with hints of purple in it. Her eyes rose and met mine. Her eyes were an electric blue, and they sent sparks through my body. Physically, if you didn't look close, she looked to be only fifteen or sixteen, but if you looked deep into her eyes, you could see the age there. You could see that she was older than she appeared to be.

Now, here's a scene describing her personality:

She looked at the man closely, like she was reading into him, seeing what he was as a person. Finally, she spoke. "I am not interested." She said. You could tell, with just those four words, that she was the type of girl who looked at all her choices before deciding. She was the kind who didn't care about the most expensive choice, she cared about the most important one. I bet that if someone offered her the life of a friend, or a thousand dollars every day for the rest of her life, she'd choose the friend over the money. Although her appearance screamed "enemy", her personality screamed "friend", and that's all that counts.

Please, tell me any or all of your options you would choose for the girl being described. Thank you very, very much and I hope that I get some really good ones.

Another thing, please do not suggest websites, I only want names, and I already tried most of the naming sites I could find on Google. Thanks!

  • I can feel beings who aren't there? Help!?

I don't know how to explain this, but I always get a feeling, especially when I'm alone, like somebody's near. It started about a year ago, the first time my mom let me stay home alone. She was going about twenty minutes away, with my little sisters and my brothers. My dad was at work, so nobody but me was home. I was okay, until about ten minutes after my mom left. I had a feeling that somebody was watching me, yet when I turned around, nobody was there. So, I went into my room, texting a friend from school. A few minutes later, I got a sudden chill, but the air wasn't even on and it was eighty degrees in the house. I shrugged it off as nothing, and decided to take a shower. When I got out of the shower, I was suddenly overcome with dread, like something was coming. A few seconds later, it was gone and I was very very confused. Everything was fine until three months after my first experience. My mom left me home again, with only my older brother, who soon left to go to a friend's house. Now, I had forgotten about my first time alone, and was watching a movie on my laptop. My room is medium sized, about ten feet wide, and thirteen feet long. A fan hung in the middle of the ceiling, and my bed against the wall beside it. I got up, after the movie was over and started stretching. I was about to do a handstand when the fan started shaking. I moved away from it, just as it fell, from the ceiling and to the floor, the light bulb smashing. I was alone, and I was freaking out at this point. My mom got home, and she saw the mess, thinking I had pulled it down or something. About six months past, and no trouble. The next time something weird happened, I was in my backyard. Again, I got the feeling of dread, but this time, it was combined with a mixture of depression and fear. I turned around suddenly, feeling like I was being watched. Again, nothing was there. The most recent time something weird had occurred, was actually two nights ago. I woke up, and couldn't move. I was frozen, in fear. My heart was beating fast, the sound of my blood pumping through my ears. I had no idea why I was frightened, but I started seeing things. I swear my closet door opened. But, in the morning, my closet door was shut tight, and nothing was out of place...

Now, my question to you. Is this all my imagination? Or am I actually seeing/feeling things? Please, help me.
