Finding a job while I already have one?
I keep hearing that it's the easiest to find a job while you're already employed, but I'm not sure how that's true. It's very hard to arrange for time off to interview during the day, and my current job runs from 8:00 - 5:00. I have been able to schedule interviews during lunch, but those are rare and only in the closest area. I have been able to take days off and leave early to interview sometimes, but it's hard to be discreet while trying to arrange for so much time off.
Any advice on this? I really hate my current job and want something better.
4 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoI need help retrieving a Yahoo! password. The account has an incorrect birthdate, so I can't retrieve it. HELP?
I didn't set up the account originally, and don't know who did. The person who has the account has an active blackberry with the account logged in to it. Is there a way I can get it from the blackberry?
Just creating a new one won't really work, as this is a work-related email address for one of my clients. Thank you!

I have been looking for a new job for about 2.5 months. I've been using Careerbuilder, Craigslist, and Monster.com to find leads, and then sending my resume directly to the company whenever possible.
So far, I've gotten only two interviews, and as of today, those two jobs were passed to other candidates. I absolutely HATE my current job, since they have this ridiculous rule that I can't have a promotion that I earned (title-wise and work-wise) financially until my evaluation in November.
Are there any other outlets? I'm working on getting an entry-level HR job. I have an English degree and two years of professional office experience.
