I have smallish gaps between my front 4 teeth. I really try not to smile to much and i'm super self conscious because of this. My dad wont let me get braces because "he likes me the way I am." But I don't care. He might just not want to pay for it. So how much do braces cost for a 14 year old in missouri?

I'm a 14 year old girl. Every time i'm with my friends and they are having a lot of fun i just kind of sit there and wish I could go home and lay in my bed alone. I didn't used to be like this though,. I used to be loud and fun like all my friends but now i just don't know what to say. I think part of the problem might be this. My friends are always complaining about stuff like they cant get a new phone or their parents wont buy a new pair of jeans that they just saw, Well i have a phone that is old and scratched up but i don't complain because it works. And if i want a new pair of jeans i have to work for them by doing chores and stuff, I pay for half of everything. This isn't because i'm broke or something its just because my dad thinks that if i get something that i didn't work for then i'm going to rob banks for a living when i'm older. I'm a good kid with good grades and I try my best to not get in trouble. When i'm in Sunday school or somewhere where your suppose learn I have a really hard time concentrating. I can sit and stare at the person talking the whole time and in the end i will have no clue what the lesson was about. My dad is bi polar and he takes all kinds of anti depressants. I know that if I tell him about it he will think i'm just trying to get attention. I've tried talking to my mom but she is completely clueless.
