  • If you have used Playtex Drop-Ins bottles, a few questions?

I have read great reviews on these bottles and I think it's the one we'll want to try (pregnant with #1), but I just had a few questions for anyone who has used them.

Why is the bottom of the bottle open? Is it because you need to push air out of the liners as the baby eats?

I can't figure out what the difference is between the two types because they basically say the same thing, is there a difference between these two?

  • How much do you believe the prophecy about 12/12/2012?

I thought nothing of it when I first heard about it and that it was just another Y2K kind of hype, but the more I hear about it and the prophecies behind it, the more I wonder. It wouldn't be the first time prophecies came true. What do you think? Do you think there is a good chance this will actually happen?

  • Can I drink any alcohol the night before a blood test?

I am having a blood test done by my doctor Saturday morning to test some hormone levels. I am going out tomorrow night and wasn't sure if it would be ok to have a couple of drinks or not. I tried looking this up online but everything I found was about having blood-alcohol tests done, which is not what this is. I've hardly ever had blood tests done so I have no idea what's ok, so any advice is appreciated. I will probably call the doctor tomorrow, too. Thanks!

  • What is that commercial that is on now that shows all YouTube-like clips of people singing the same song?

For some reason I can't think of the song or what the commercial is for, but hoping someone will still know what I'm talking about. It shows all different clips that look like they were taken from YouTube and they are singing some rock song...anyone?....anyone? Thanks!

  • Is it proper to invite my cousin to our wedding with "and guest" if he is separated but not yet divorced?

My mother's cousin has been "separated" from his wife for a year and a half but they're not technically divorced yet. He and my mom were out of touch for a long time so we didn't know this, but he is invited to my wedding and I am not sure how to word the invitation. I am inviting singles with guests, would it be proper to invite him with a "guest" even though he's not divorced? I feel it would be awkward to invite him with his wife but rude not to invite him with anyone. I just want to do it whatever way would be most polite. Any suggestions?? Thanks!

  • Would it be smart to dress down slightly for a second interview after realizing company is very casual?

I went on an interview today and wore a very formal skirt suit, stockings, pumps...the whole nine yards. I knew it was a small company and most likely not very formal, but I erred on the conservative and dressed my best. The company is very small and mostly made up of family members, the office was very casual and they were all wearing jeans and sweaters. I need to go back again later today to meet with one other person there, and was wondering if, now that I know the dress code, it would be ok to dress down slightly to appear like I fit in more. I was considering wearing nice slacks, shirt, and a blazer. Could anyone give me any advice on whether they think this would be proper, or if I should go back all decked out in the suit again?

    Thanks!!

  • How do male interviewers differ in their interviewing style compared to female interviewers?

I have a job interview tomorrow with the founder of the company who is a man, and will then be meeting with another man in a different department. I'm female and have only ever worked for and been interviewed by other women. I'm curious if anyone thinks interviews conducted by men/women differ in style, and whether it's different working for men as opposed to women.

    Thanks!

  • Could anyone tell me what kind of flower this is (picture)?

I found this picture of a bridesmaids bouquet and was wondering if anyone could tell me what the small white flowers in it are (the ones that they have put the pearls in the middle of). I think it's a really pretty idea and I'd like to use it for my wedding but I have no idea what that flower is - any help is appreciated - thanks!

  • Are there any basic rules/ideas that are helpful to keep in mind when picking wedding flowers?

I am getting married in June and have an appointment with the florist to pick flowers this Saturday. She told me to bring ideas and photos of things I like, but I have no idea how to even go about choosing what's appropriate or would look nice. It's a large formal wedding, my bridesmaids dresses are an aqua color and we're having a church wedding and then an indoor reception. Should the centerpiece flowers be similar to the bridesmaids flowers? Should my flowers be completely different? I have no idea where to start, so any advice is really appreciated!

  • Should all of my flower girls' shoes match or can they be different?

I have 3 flower girls in my wedding and we decided to have them wear ballet shoes (white ones made for flower girls, not for actual ballet) since it will be really comfortable for them and easy to walk in. My question is, should they all match, or should I just tell the moms whatever they find is fine? I'm guessing it doesn't matter if they match perfectly or not, but I don't always trust my judgment - thanks!

  • For anyone who has tried Acai juice, do you think it tastes good?

Is the taste similar to any other kinds of juices?

They have some at our supermarket for a few dollars and I thought maybe I'd try it, but I didn't know if it's one of those things that doesn't taste great but people drink anyway for the health benefits. Thanks!

  • Does organic milk, such as Nature's Promise, taste the same as the non-organic brands?

I thought maybe I would give organic milk a shot, but I'm just wondering if it tastes the same as non-organic brands such as Tuscan or store brands. I buy skim milk, and I've been drinking it for so many years I don't know if I could get used to a kind that tasted much different than I'm used to. Thanks!

  • What types of things could I put into a "care package" for my friend and her very ill husband?

I have a friend who lives very far away and whose husband has just been diagnosed with cancer in the late-stages and is very ill and undergoing chemo. I wanted to put together a "care package" type thing to send to them. I could think of a few things to put into it for my friend who is having a very hard time, but I want it to be for her husband as well and just don't know what I can put in there for him. Does anyone have any ideas that could help me?

    Thanks!!

  • Are there any wine glasses that are actually meant to be for both red and white wine?

I don't drink that much wine but we registered for our wedding and after some debating, decided to go ahead and get 12 place settings of china. I wanted to get wine glasses too, and since some glasses are meant for red wine and some for white (which I think is odd to begin with) we got 12 of each for a total of 24 wine glasses (not crystal stemware, just normal, average priced ones).

I want to have enough for my 12 place settings but 24 wine glasses seems pretty crazy. Are there any that are made to be for both red and white wine so I could just get 12 and not 24?

  • How much did you spend on invitations for your wedding?

Including everything that goes into them like response cards and reception cards. How many invitations did you order?

I found one that I love but I don't think the price is worth spending on invitations, so I was just wondering what others spent, on average. We're having a formal wedding and need to order about 150 invites.

If anyone could suggest a good site to order from, that'd be great too - thank you!

  • Has anyone ever gotten a piece of jewelry engraved at Kay Jewelers?

I bought my fiance's wedding ring but now I'd like to take it back and get it engraved. I want the inside to have the date we met, the date we got engaged, and our wedding date. Does anyone know how much this might cost? I've never gotten anything engraved before so I'm just curious what to expect.

    Thanks!

  • Is 50-60 people a crazy number for our rehearsal dinner?

That's the # I am coming up with after making a list of the entire bridal party, our flowergirl/ringbearers parents, our parents, and a few close family members who are traveling a great distance the day before to be able to come to the wedding. The few rehearsal dinners I've been at in the past were much smaller...is it unheard of to have one this big? I don't feel like I can leave anyone out, and money is not really an issue because we got a great deal...

  • Should people being invited "with guest" to our wedding also be invited "with guest" to the rehearsal dinner?

All of my bridesmaids and also a few others attending the rehearsal are being invited "with guest" to our wedding. Is the proper etiquette also to let them know they can bring a guest (most are in relationships) to the rehearsal dinner?
