Is there a minimum drop for a ceiling pendant light?
What's the minimum length the bulb should be from the ceiling (for safety reasons). I'd like to shorten the drop but not sure by how much
2 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)1 decade agoCan I use a 300mA mains adaptor with a 700mA cd player?
I have a portable CD player - the mains adaptor sockets says DC 9V 700mA. Is it ok/safe to use a 9V 300mA mains adaptor? Or a 9V 1200mA one?
I don't understand what difference the current makes.
3 AnswersOther - Electronics1 decade agoLean to shed - damp proof between shed and wall?
I am building a lean-to wooden shed against my kitchen wall (the existing wall will form the back wall of the shed). When I attach the wooden battens to the wall, should i do anything to damp-proof eg a layer of waterproof membrane between the wall and wood?
Wall is rendered and painted if that makes any difference.
6 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)1 decade agoPlant suggestions for 2-3 foot hedge?
We want to plant a low (2-3 foot) hedge around our patio. The patio is raised about a foot from the rest of the garden - the hedge would be planted at the lower level so would need to be a foot high before even showing above the patio. We're torn between box and privet - box seems too low (it would take years to grow above the start of the patio), while privet seems too high.
