I have a best friend that I have been really close with for four years. Just recently he met a girl and is going out with her. She has a young kid. I backed off and stopped talking to him. He has been telling people that I know that he has never met anyone like me and nobody get him like I do. He said that he holds me in his heart. There is a big trip we were planning to take and he still thinks I am going with him. Just the two of us. Is he crazy?? He said to people when he met his girlfriend that he told her I come first in his life. I have become really close to his family in the four years that I have known him. His brother is getting married this summer and they have all asked me to go with them to the wedding. Last night my friend called me and asked me to go to the wedding. He asked me to meet his girl. What is is that?? I am so confused. I find it very hurtful and totally weird. On one hand his family is really trying to get us together and then they turn around and say I should meet his new girl all excited. He says that this trip he doesn't want anyone but me to go on it with him. I told him he needs to take his girlfriend but he said it wouldn't be the same. He wants to go with me. I have got him in contact with his favouritee band and we were to go see them personally this summer. Something this huge should be shared with his girl but he doesn't want her there. He wants me. Why?? I love him so much. I can't tell him - he has a girlfriend! I can't see why he doesn't know that I love him. But yet every time he asks me to meet her or go somewhere with her and him it hurts me so much. I get sick.

I have a best friend that I have fallen hard for. We are very close, and he comes to me with his problems all the time. People around us keep saying there is so much chemistry between us that we are meant for each other. We are always play fighting, joking around, laughing. People think we are a couple. He has girlfriends, but they never last. It is me he talks to all the time and asks my opinion. It hurst so much, but I don't want to loose his friendship. Right now, he is dating a teenager (much younger than he is) and she just told him she needs space. He texts me until all hours about how much he needs her and wants her. I help him the best I can, have a good cry, and go to sleep. How do you stay close to a friend, but get over being in love with them? This is killing me.....
