Is employee subsistence (paid by company) taxable at same rate as rest of income or is it special?
I have a subsistence agreement with my employer that specifies they pay me a specific amount every paycheck for having relocated to the location of my project. It was being paid to me in my paycheck, with no taxes withheld. It is considered an indefinite relocation, not a temporary one, so they will begin to withhold taxes on that amount starting in 2012. What I wondered is if its considered normal income and is taxed at same rate or if there were special rules applicable to that amount. If its considered regular income, my annual income will jump significantly and most likely put me in higher tax bracket, which I would really hate. Is that what is going to happen? Or is it looked at separately somehow?
2 AnswersOther - Business & Finance9 years agoWhy is it that people here at Answers will respond to questions...?
with the same responses already given by others? I look at these questions, and there are like 10 almost identical answers...Thats pretty silly. Why do you bother to answer the question if the answer is already there? For the points?? WHY? Its not like the points get you anywhere in LIFE, you know? Please explain this strange phenomenom to me, why people feel the need to be repetitive.
7 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoWhy is that people say if you curse or swear that you are "uneducated"?
I don't get that. I Swear a lot. Its like second nature and I half the time I never even realize that I'm doing it. However I am very itelligent, graduated high school 4.0, and have been told by many that i am a smart person. The fact that I swear has no bearing on my education level so why do people say that? When I hear someone swearing, I certainly do not immediately think, "what a bafoon". They are just words....
