Judging on the people who ask and answer questions on this site, my answer is no it is not a good thing. I would say that the youth in this country are unfit to vote, but judging by the rest of the electorate you could say that a large percentage of Americans are unfit to vote just because they are so easily manipulated.

If been writing a report about the pros's and con's of lowering the drinking age to 18. I've always wondered what would happen if I ever found myself in the situation of receiving an underage ticket and what would happen if I tried to contest the ticket because I found it to be violating my liberties as an American citizen. after all I am 18 and that makes me an adult in this country, so why then I ask myself are my liberties being threatened by police and the pissed off moms at MADD.

If there was an error on the ballot and all the Republicans had D's next to their names and all the Democrats had R's next to their names would anybody notice, or would they vote for the wrong people because they only care about the D's and the R's.

In theory, Democrats support social liberty and a state supported economy, In theory Republicans believe in a market driven economy and a social system based on "Christian morales". The system has failed me because I believe in social liberty and economic liberty, if I choose one party I possibly sacrifice my other liberty.

How can you consider yourself a liberal if you want to limit my economic freedom? True liberals believe in both economic and social liberty.

Here in America it's been called Soccer since the early 1900's, during this time the sport was known world wide as soccer football but was later shortned for obvious reasons. So why do people complain about us call it soccer, calling it soccer is part of our soccer heritage, and as Americans we should be proud of this difference in name.

It is obvious that this is a response to the recent Blacksburg massacre. Isn't this another example of a politician taking advantage of our fear and emotions to pass legislation that is infringing on our constitutional rights? Isn't this what Democrats accused Republicans of doing with the passage of the Patriot Act and the fears of terrorism that went along with it?
