I'm looking at buying one that needs a clutch

I picked one up cheap but need to know some specs like rocker adjustments and timing .

Autozone's "free scans" are a free "scam" They come out wih a code reader and try and sell you a part which may not even be the right part because a code can be triggered by something other than sensor the code indicates. They neglect to tell you that electrical parts are non returnable after the package has been opened. their parts are garbage too.

I am starting to think so. Everyone here claiming to be "ASE" certified doesn't seem to know. cars very well. I have to call BS! You know enough to be dangerous.

It's gutless. For a while it was an intermittent problem. Would just randomly crap out then after a few minutes would smooth out. But on my way home it got really bad. Backfiring, shaking , vavles rattling. No smoke. I checked the fuel pessure it's ok, spark ok, Cranking compression 155-160 across. Vacuum reads 18 hg.

They said it was a high N0x in the exhaust. It doesnlt smoke or anything. How can I fix this?

I checked the spark, fuel pressure, and it idles great but has no power. Epsecially on hills. The vacuum is at 20 on a vacuum guage but slowly drops to about 10 after about 2000 rpm.

I have this old 351M the compression is Cyl.1- 40psi cyl 2 -60 psi cyl 3-60 psi cyl 4-40 psi cyl 5- 40 psi cyl 6-60 psi, cyl 7-60 psi cyl 8- 40 psi. With or without oil in the cylnders. What's wrong with it? On my way home a couple of weeks ago I was coming home and it started to run terrible. I manged to limp it home and now it won't start.
