I was sent a check by a university which I cashed and used to repay loans. Not so long ago they sent me an email that they want the check back.

Can I deny their request legally or am I legally required to send a check back?

My best friend and I are really close but lately I've started to develop feelings for her. Last night we went to a college party and everything was perfect. We were on the same wavelength, laughing, and it was... just great. I was walking her back to her room and half way there, we just stopped and started kissing.

Then she stopped and said, "we shouldn't be doing this. We're going to be graduating soon." She lives in another state than me and i said its okay distance is no problem. Then she said, "i dont want to be hurt by you."

That was really random and we both went back to our rooms and i couldn't sleep because i didn't know what to make of what just happened. I really like her. What should I do?

My boyfriend hangs out with this girl who really messed up my life. Long story short she and I were close friends once but she stabbed my back after I lent her 3k to pay her tuition but she never gave it back to me or admitted she got it from me. He tells me that she hangs out with his friends and when they go out to eat he never talks to her. However, this has been going on for months now and him hanging around this individual who has caused me so much pain really gets to me. How should I handle this?

Lets say I haven't really given any presents to my boyfriend for the 5 months we've been together. Should he be obligated to give me a Valentine's day present even though I haven't done much for him?

This is assuming that he and I have spent equal amounts of time for each other but he has done more for me than I have done for him. We both love each other equally, in theory.

I want to make a regex to fit a number between two commas without including the commas. For ex, take Arizona,314556,John Mayor and get the number 314556.

I recently bought this HEPA air filter which works really well and I love it. However, I recently discovered that while blowing it at my aluminum chair, the metal becomes charged. I could put my finger to my chair and see a static spark jump off. I redirected the air current and the static shock would stock occurring. What is causing this phenomenon?

There's this stuck up girl that I have to work with my entire 4 years of college and I need to find some way to talk to her that wouldn't be detrimental to our work relationship. She's very bossy and likes to gossip so I don't often have a good conversation with her.

I have a teacher who is a strongly opinionated feminist. She tends to put her way of thinking into every lesson she teaches. Though her Short Story lessons lack variety in opinion, I personally don't care because I'm only there to learn. However, there's one thing that definitely bugs the hell out of me. She always says "He should die for his stupidity." or "The character's so stupid he should have been killed." I don't believe anyone "should die" for any reason. Is there any way I can tell her to stop saying that without her hating me for thinking what I think.

I'm just bored at home and I'm reading a few short stories online. Does anybody have any good short stories they'd recommend? They can be from any age and any author, just well written with a good hook <3
