  • How do I remove the upper bobbin from a JML easy stitch?

I've just gotten this tiny sewing machine from a charity shop...but I don't know how to remove the top bobbin to change the thread!

The instruction booklet tells me how to thread all the bobbins, but not how to actually remove it :-/

I've tried pushing, pulling, twizzling :P

    Anyone able to help please?

  • Where can I buy new books in bulk?

I live in the Uk and sell second hand books, I usually get my stock from book shops which are shutting down, and recently I have been getting blocks of new books which seem to sell really well.

The problem I'm having is that I can't seem to buy these books from the publishers! I either can't seem to find where to buy them from, or the places don't respond to my questions.

Can anyone give me some advice or clues where to start please? I need a uk company that can supply me (and doesn't want me to buy 10,000 at a time!)

Thank you for any answers in advance.

  • Can skipping meals be healthy?

As a student I often find my main foods are pasta/rice/cereal/milk/cheese/peas/sweetcorn. The cereal and milk are for breakfast and I tend to mix the peas/sweetcorn with pasta or rice for lunch and dinner.

You're possibly wondering what happened to other vegetables and meat, I can't afford them. (and when I can, ie just after student loan comes in, it's usually chicken and peppers)

My question is, would it be better for me to skip lunch altogether?

Benefits I guess would be that i'd save money from not eating that meal, but then I could use that money to buy more fresh vegetables (and maybe even *gasp* fruit)

Major drawbacks...I'm always really hungry at 11am :(

  • What camera would I need to buy to be able too...?

    Take long exposure photos

Take good night photos (of the moon, and fireworks that kind of thing)

    Get quite high resolution

Either use normal batteries (so I can recharge them, but if i run out i can just nip to the nearest shop) or has a VERY long battery life (ie the battery lasts 8-10 hours in constant use)

I'm also a quite poor student, so any tips on how to save up for one would be appreciated!

    Thanks

  • How do I improve my muscle strength?

I'm training to use sword and shield, but I'm finding the shield is really taking a toll on my left arm(I'm right handed) which is my shield arm.

Does anyone have any advice on strengthening arm muscles?

Also, is there a Special warm up you can do to prevent achy arms/back the day after training?

    thanks.

  • How can i be better at working?

I get a piece of work, I get a deadline.

I plan my time, it's all going great.

The night before it's due in I'm a nervous wreck because I haven't followed my schedule, or I thought I had, and I now need to do the work last minute.

I have no idea what happens (if I did, i'd stop it!) But it's getting to the point now that i'm worried I'll fail all my classes.

Can anyone offer me some advice (beyond 'Stick to your darn schedule!')

    Be very grateful.
